MILWAUKIE, Ore. - A man pleaded not guilty Monday to charges of sneaking up to women on TriMet buses and cutting their hair, but he is also a person of interest in two unrelated break-ins.
TriMet officials said 22-year-old Jared Weston Walter cut the hair - three times in six weeks - of unsuspecting women as they rode on the bus.
Officials said he was caught on New Years Eve as he rode the No. 33 bus in Milwaukie after a woman called 9-1-1, and in another case, TriMet said he put Super Glue in a womans hair.
Police also confirmed Monday that Walter is a person of interest in two middle-of-the night break-ins at an apartment complex he was a resident at before being evicted.
The first occurred to Danielle Oliver. She said she believes Walter sneaked into her apartment in the middle of the night in September and coated her hair and pillow with some sort of oil while she and her fiancé slept.
She said she woke up groggy and discovered her purse was gone.
I started shaking and crying, said Oliver. I realized then that somebody had been in our house and it has been pretty traumatizing; its been terrifying.
The substance permanently stained her pillow.

Profilers say this kind of thing escalates. He’s probably one or two steps away from rape and murder.
Probably wasn't oil.
Milwaukie?
It's spelled that way in Oregon for that town (I guess to distinguish it from Milwaukee, so people don't get confused). Milwaukie is a suburb of Portland, Oregon.

Wrong Milwaukie... the one you're talking about is Milwaukee... :-)
