AQ in the Arabian Peninsula is a sub-group of AQ that first surfaced in 2003. He may be technically correct referring to that sub-group if they had made the statement that GITMO was why they formed. I haven’t seen that. The Yemenis had been involved in the 2000 attack on the USS Cole. They have gained strength as a result of GITMO graduates.
Obama’s statement is just another way of saying “It’s Bush’s fault”. The whole concept that we can’t do something because these guys might not like it illustrates that Obama is incompetent to lead. These guys are not going to like anything we do. They don’t like the fact that we are alive and believe something different from them. (Sounds like some others that we know).
