How do you refer to your mother? I always call mine, "mom" when speaking to her and when referring to her I might say, "my mother" but just as likely to say, "my mom". I guess I'm just a "childish" 64 year old (she's 89).
I don’t believe I’ve said one word about sterilization, forced or otherwise. Yep, a hell of a gal. She only got 20,000, you see. She could have got 7 figures! So, it was a frivolous lawsuit but she was only moderately greedy. By the way, I speak lawyer to a degree...and what he really said here is that they asked for 7 figures and settled for 20 grand. That is what they call spin in the lawyer industry.
And you’re going to have a hell of a time “tearing down” the welfare state if you’re always afraid to swing a demo hammer because a child is in the way. It’s not for the federal government to redistribute wealth. It should be up to local governments and churches, and people who receive should be required to work in some way for it.
Tubal ligations are reversible, as are vasectomies. While reprehensible on the part of the hospital, it is hardly the end-of-the-world this woman is making it out to be.
