I absolutely agree but, and I think this is Beck's point, it is a battle that cannot be won. Spreading the news about the marxists in his administration is something that can influence people. Beck is only picking his battles.
Well stated! ... Sadly, Glenn mistakenly went out of his way to ridicule and insult anyone doubting Barry Soetoro’s eligibility, kind of like the poorly played ‘moron trivia’ game his staff dishes to insult and ridicule folks. The eligibility issue is but one on a list of issues to be exposed regarding the affirmative action liar-in-chief. Glenn made the foolish mistake of focusing too much attention to ridicule, in preparation for his now running ‘transition’ of focus.
The admission is proof for many that Barry cannot have been a natural born citizen at birth, regardless of whether Kenyan citizenship inherited from his father expired. The confusion leftists create regarding Constitutional natural born citizenship is what the democrats and Barry’s agit props are counting on to prevent precision of focus.
Not silence at all, his father was a Kenyan as far as I know. I have no reason to dispute that though it might be disputed that B.O. Sr is his actual father and perhaps that is the embarrassing information contained in his original birth certificate. If his father was, as some claim, Frank Davis, then the citizenship would not be in question.
Nonetheless, as far as I know, born in Hawaii to an American mother qualifies one for citizenship regardless of who the daddy is.
To whom does this make us look like kooks? The Left? They already think we are kooks, even without the birther issue; so buckup!
YES, as George Washington warned the public in his farewell address:
If, in the opinion of the people, the distribution or modification of the constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation; for though this, in one instance, may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed. The precedent must always greatly overbalance in permanent evil any partial or transient benefit, which the use can at any time yield
As avenues to foreign influence in innumerable ways, such attachments are particularly alarming to the truly enlightened and independent patriot. How many opportunities do they afford to tamper with domestic factions, to practice the arts of seduction, to mislead public opinion, to influence or awe the public councils. Such an attachment of a small or weak towards a great and powerful nation dooms the former to be the satellite of the latter.
Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence (I conjure you to believe me, fellow-citizens) the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government...
Real patriots who may resist the intrigues of the favorite are liable to become suspected and odious, while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people, to surrender their interests
it’s not an urban myth that the debates were online, I saw them, I just didnt hear him ask the question
also in searching for it today, I found a reference that it was a question asked OFF STAGE, not in the debate, so, it may not even be on video at all
I also wonder why Keyes would NOT show the video if it was true, that would be his greatest source: his own debate with Obama!
However, I still stand by my testimony: I met an Indonesian immigrant in Hawaii in 1980 that was a Mullatto male about 18 years old who told me he was born in Mombassa.
Boy I wish I remembered his name and I wish my friends wanted to go back and show him the pics of Mombassa. I would have a witness to it.
It is self-evident that if Barack Obama senior is his father that Obama can NOT be a natural born citizen.
Sorry, I have a few other responsibilities that prevent me from spending ALL my time on FR. Self-evident? I'm no lawyer but if someone who is born in the United States but has parents who are both illegal aliens can be considered a citizen, then I don't see how someone born in Hawaii to a woman who was a citizen could not be considered a citizen. Regardless of who his father is.
This may be 100% correct and legally accurate, but since has that been a factor in determining if it acted upon or not.
The problem is the vetting process was co-opted by the MSM and since his election was “mandated” (I hate that term in this context) by the election, no matter what we do and how much we scream until either the Media wakes up or somethign short of a major revolution nothing will be made of it. If it does go to court it would most likely lead to a ruling that would open the door for more foreign usurpers in the future. Remember the left loves going by “case law” rather than constitutional law.
It would be better to nail him to the wall on this AFTER he gets thrown out for other reasons. Otherwise we open the door wide open for future usurping.
Can you send me a link to something that shows that position to be settled in the law?
Ah yes, the axelgreasy talking point of conflating citizen with natural born citizen. Carry on, obamanoid.
Is there video of such a debate?
Oh yes, you have found me out. I've been hanging around FR since 1998 just so I can carry water for Obama.
Kindly show me where, in law, the definition of natural born citizen precludes someone born to a foreign father. I can be persuaded, but not by insults.
They urge,”Swallow lies!”
“Be Gods, not kooks”, they wink, smirk
as we naked, gorge!
BTW, are we supposed to believe you've been reading FR since 1998 when your sign-on birthday is more recent? ... You stealth agit props are accomplishing something worthwhile by exposing your liberal sycophancy with this affirmative action liar-in-chief defense ... if Freerepublic lasts past Barry's time in office.
So the law really has no particular sway in your mind? All I am asking is for you to show me, in settled law where natural born citizen is defined the way you say it is. If you can do that, I will gladly shut up.
If you would do that it would seem to be a much more fruitful approach to dialogue than simply hurling insults. That sort of thing doesn’t work in court either which is why I believe the court cases have gained little traction. Too many in the birther community operate based more on a blind hatred of Obama than on reason and fact. Until that changes they will continue to be mocked (rightly or wrongly) by Obama’s supporters. And by the way, if you would bother to read my comments in the forum you will see that I am in no way an Obama supporter.
Also, for the record, if you would merely click on the name ‘newheart’ in any of my posts it will link you to my about page to clarify my date issue. And I will gladly log in under my old handle if that is the proof you require.
How did he become a Kenyan citizen at birth if he was born in Honolulu???
In case it slipped your attention, the post from Obfusgate was from me, newheart.
How many screen names are posters encouraged to use now?
How do we do that.
I am willing to bet that they have received e-mails by the hundreds of thousands begging them to cover Obama’s eligibility. It seems that disrupting their shows is the only way to show that this time we really mean what we say.
If his father really was BO, Sr. then he had, at birth, dual citizenship and it is very common. I have a good friend, a naturalized US citizen who was born in Spain, and is married an American woman. His seven children have dual citizenship in both Spain and the US. But there is no debate over whether they are natural born citizens of the US. They most certainly are.
That may well be the case. I would simply like for someone to show that to me in either the Constitution, the US Legal Code, or relevant, current case law.
These “innocent” little questions are getting old. I agree. They are nothing more than DOJ talking points that have been thoroughly refuted and answered literally hundreds of times here on Free Republic.
It really is simple.
People who don’t defend the Constitution ( **all** of it) are NOT conservative! Yes, it is that simple!
Then Obama didn't and doesn't meet the definition of "natural born citizen" arrived at by the Senate staffers who researched the subject thoroughly in their 2008 Senate resolution SR511 -- the same as that defined way back in the Venus decision: born in the country of parents who are its citizens.
You might take note that there have been strong repercussions for using more than one screen name on threads, yet this poster seems proud that he/she/it can use two active IDs on the same thread. The obamanoids are still a protected species at FR ... be careful.
Now it plays the ‘no controlling legal authority that I will recognize as valid’ card. Typical lack of imagination most of the obamanoids show. McCain’s American citizenship was not in doubt, but his natural born citizenship status was the issue still!
The Obamanoids seem to violate the rules wherever they go with impunity —
Of course they are. I get a fax from Eric Holder every single morning so I will know what to think. When you say asked and answered on FR hundreds of times yet you choose not to provide links to anything, much less something definitive, perhaps I am not the one who is a poseur.
And in this post, it tries to again conflate, where born with citizenship of the PARENTS. These are the usual obfuscatory ploys of the obamanoid gang at FR. Honesty is not their strong suit.
Thanks Uncle for at least providing me with something that can be researched. I will follow up on that.
Look up the logical fallacy of the undistributed middle, fool. And your hero, Eric, is too busy dexstroying your God-given rights to mess with talking points. If you get them regularly, they are probably from axelgreasy.
Bwahahahahaha, didn’t it sound so sincere? LOL
In the meantime, I will carry on this discussion with people who are willing to actually make a case instead of hurling off one supposedly clever insult after another.
Newhaeart, do your own research, it isn’t that hard.
Well, revolutionists all have different ideas about how to go about it, and sometimes it’s the combination that does the trick.
Lucyt can you send newheart the link to the BIG birther thread so he can research all 9,000 posts like the rest of us have done? This will allow him to catch up.
Was/is Obama’s mother a citizen of the US? If she is, doesn’t that make him a citizen? I thought that just being a child of a citizen made you a citizen, but I am not certain. I’d like to know. On another thread, there are people saying his mother’s a citizen of the US. Just curious if anyone knows.
BTW, If you’re going to be rude, don’t bother with a reply, please, seeking out information should not be a burn-at-the-stake offense.
So, apparently you agree that Obama was born in Hawaii, and was thus born a citizen of the United States, but you believe that he also had dual Kenyan citizenship and is thus ineligible? Help me out, here.
I am sorry to say that Glenn Beck has now shown us all this fact:
Glenn is in the opposition control mode. Although he will supply the public with truths about the Communist actions of the Obama administration and Congress, he must keep the ONE TRUTH from coming out that would stop all the craziness immediately! And that TRUTH is that Barack Hussein/Barry Sortoro/Obama is not constitutionally qualified to be the Commander In Chief!
You're missing the point newheart. The Constitutional requirement for POTUS is for a "Natural Born" citizen. That has meaning only as of the moment of his birth. He even admits that he had Kenyan citizenship at birth, so how can Barry have been a Natural Born Citizen AT BIRTH?
By his own admission, he was a dual citizen at the time of his birth. And that time (which allegedly was August 4th, 1961) is the only time that matters in this discussion. Any act of law, renouncement, etc. affecting Barry's citizenship since the alleged date of his birth is meaningless. He is not Natural Born. Period.
No need at all for court decision (although would be good for the long term). Nixon resigned, more than a full 2 years after the Watergate scandal. When more people understand that he's a usurper, the Congress (save for the ultra left) will loose confidence in Barry (just like what happened to Nixon). Furthermore, I can't imagine the joint chiefs of staff publicly acknowledging that they are "OK" with taking orders from an Unconstitutional CinC.
IF his being a usurper is ignored or glossed over...it will set a precedent. Most clear thinkers thought it nearly impossible for such a "candidate" to be elected...yet he did with the help of the state run media, foreign money, uneducated voters, etc. If he is simply voted out...I can't imagine the possibilities of who might get elected in the future. His precedent must not be allowed to prevail.
First, I'm not sure how you could possibly think that was what I was referring to in my post. Y'know, given the dozen or so references I made to Keyes, the 2004 debates, the transcripts, and the references to Pidgeon's and Kreep's comments. Versus the zero references I made to comments published on Obama's website.
Second, not to nitpick, but Obama's website didn't actually write that. They did post it on the website, but it's a quote from FactCheck.org, as evidenced by the FactCheck logo and the hyperlink to the FactCheck article directly above.
Third, you keep trying to change the subject rather than address the fact that Stephen Pidgeon put a flat-out LIE in the first paragraph of this letter of his. If you notice, Pidgeon only wrote two paragraphs about eligibility; the rest of the letter is his predictions regarding Obama's policies or his personal opinion of Obama. And smack-dab in the middle of those two eligibility paragraphs is Pidgeon citing and relying on a completely fictional incident. The man must either not check his sources and accepted this bogus rumor as truth without a modicum of factchecking, or he knows it's false and included it anyway. Take your pick.
Anything the Obama campaign quoted on a campaign website in 2008 doesn't change the fact that Steve Pidgeon has shown that he's willing to rely on imaginary incidents and make-believe evidence.
The definition of "Natural Born Citizen" that requires both parents to be U.S. citizens is nothing more than a fictional device created by birthers specifically to be a standard of eligibility that Obama could not possibly meet. As such, you'll find this definition nowhere in the Constitution or any established case law.
Hence, this event:
Followed by this one:
Wishing this requirement is a "fictional device created by birthers" does not make it so, any more than a global warming alarmist - wishing the earth was heating up to further their agenda - will make it so. As you can see, we are in the midst of a brutal winter, and this issue will catch up with Barry, in time. The Truth has a nasty way of coming to light.
Nice try though...
Get used to it. When their conspiracy theories fall apart under the most cursory examinations, insults and personal attacks are the only cards they have left to play.
