South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson, who became a conservative hero after he shouted "You lie!" at President Obama during a major speech last year, hails from Lexington County. He also defended Graham.
Lindsey Graham has been a great leader for our state and party," Wilson said in a statement to CNN. "I appreciate everything he has done for me and his tireless work in helping Republicans at all levels of government. Hes a team player. Ronald Reagan always said that people who agree with you 80 percent of the time should be considered a good friend. Reagan was a wise man and if we want to build a strong, vibrant Republican Party we should follow his advice.

Ugh...
Give me my $20 back, Mr. Wilson.
I read the article, could you point out to me where Joe Wilson defends Grhamnesty?
Nasty.
He simply paid him a compliment, but made it clear that they do not see eye to eye....
I don’t see the problem here.
Ok, flame away, I know it’s coming.
Look in the excerpt.
Joe Wilson’s defense of the POS Graham is staring you in the face.
No sale, Joe.
Well BANG goes your hard earned credibility, Joe!!
Who cares neither of them are conservative.
I do have to add though that I agree with LG about 0% of the time....Wilson probably does too....so that throws the old Reagan quote out the window....
Why didn’t you post the lead? The pertinent part of the story?
You know, the part that explains why Joe Wilson made the comment?
Ron Paul supporters causing mischief again.
Sounds like Joe Wilson “lied”
Anyone who supports Lindsey Grahamnesty is a Liberal RINO
Joe should not fight the censure,
he should wear it as a badge of honor, and as a sign of democRat corruption.
Telling the truth is a revolutionary act, when the system has become as corrupt as it is.
It’s not about Joe’s censure.
I will always admire Joe Wilson for standing up in the middle of 0bama’s State of the Union address and calling him a liar, that took brass ‘nads, no matter what.
I naturally don’t agree with his coming to the defense of Goober Graham, but that is honestly a matter to be dealt with by the South Carolina congressional delegation and the voters of that State, not that we have to be silent about it.
I don’t necessarily buy into the whole ‘Ron Paul supporters stirring up trouble’, because Graham’s RINO-tendencies are a matter of concern to ANY conservative with a lick of common sense. I consider Graham to be as offensive as that asshat McCain, and he has more in common with the ‘Rats, just like Juan McInsane.
Gee, and I sent him $50...
Graham has some views I don’t agree with but the main agenda with the anti war PaulBots, Graham supports
why we need to win the war against the IslamOfascists who declared war on us.
Some of the PaulBots have too much time on their hands.
Many have not been out in the real world.
They don’t work 40 hr.+ a week to support themselves
and know adult responsibality.
This makes it easy to be sucked into a deranged cult loon such a Ron Paul and his un Conservative anti war and hate those who support the war.
FREEPERS always fall for these fakes. I did not say a word when he said “no lie” because it always kills me when FREEPERS make a Saint out a person for one incident. Never see the big picture...someday hopefully we all can learn from being impressed on folks that really don’t deserve the title from one incident. People were actually hoping he ran for President...ROTFLMAO.
My Congressman seems to have forgotten the support he received after his outburst in the Joint Session of Congress a few months ago. I didn’t vote for him in November 2008 because he voted FOR it. BUT, he’d won me back with his outburst. I thought he’d had an epiphany. Perhaps I was premature in my judgment.
Supporting Lindsey Grahamnesty is not an option. Rebuking county party leaders is not an option. Congressman Wilson, you work for US - not the other way around. You may support Senator Grahamnesty if you wish — but if you do, you’ll not get my vote. And I’ll just bet I’m NOT alone here in SC 2nd District.
You know, the part that explains why Joe Wilson made the comment?
Ron Paul supporters causing mischief again.
I posted an excerpt of the story, as FR (to the best of my understanding) does not allow full text reposts of CNN articles. (If the AM could please confirm this rule, I would be grateful.) The excerpt is clearly marked by (snip) notations.
Your complaint only shows that you are too lazy to actually click on the link and read the full story at CNN's Web site.
Actually, my questions to you prove that I read the article at the sourced cnn.
There is not one word of "complaint" in my comments to you. Perhaps you need to read the article.
With “good friends” like Lindsey, who needs enemies?
Your source is CNN?
Joe Wilson is a good South Carolina conservative.
You stink like an agent provocateur.
Graham is quirky. He comes through for the military and he’s good on some issues of law, but he voted for Sotomayor. He’s been tough against healthcare, but the guy won reelection recently, so he’s going to be a PITA for the next several years and let’s not forget he’s already working with the traitor, John Kerry, on Cap & Trade, for crying out loud.
Oh, and yes, you’re right. The Ron Paul people are behind the censure and they do have too much time on their hands, which is the natural consequence of supporting a loon who blames his own country for terrorist attacks by muslims.
He's also working with Schumer on the next amnesty.
DITTO!
Joe Wilson displays good common sense and reality acceptance as opposed to many political junkies.
Uber RINO Lindsey Ping
"Republican by day, Democrat by night."
Want on or off this ping list?
Just FReepmail me.
Grahamensty, you suck and blow at the same time. Even Bart Simpson knows how bad that is.
Someone should telll Joe Wilson that if Ronald Reagan came back to life and took a look at today’s cowering /groveling/fawning/reach-across-the-aisle PC “Republicans”, he would lead the charge to sweep them from power. Republicans In Name Only. Wearing pretty pink democrat panties.
