PORTLAND, Oregon (Reuters) – An unruly passenger aboard a Hawaii-bound airliner on Wednesday prompted the pilot to return the plane to Portland, Oregon, escorted by two military fighter jets, in the latest of several U.S. aviation security scares this week.
The Hawaiian Airlines jet en route to Maui's Kahului Airport turned back because of "a suspicious passenger who made threatening remarks and refused to store his carry-on bag," said Suzanne Trevino, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Transportation Security Administration.
The plane, escorted by two F-15 fighters scrambled out of Portland International Airport, landed there without further incident, and the man, who was not identified, was detained for questioning, authorities said.

I'd be seriously cheesed off if I was one of the other passengers and lost vacation time because of that bozo.

He was probably sick of the numbskulls at TSA pawing through his clothes, etc., and then the rude stewardesses barking orders the way they do these days too many times (not on my favorite, self-sustaining airline, but on a bunch of others that I try never to fly)....
I guess I’d have to see what he really said and the whole story to take it seriously....

If you don't know then who does, lady? And if it's not being reported isn't that because you, the TSA, is keeping it under wraps? Like the identity of the Muslim passenger on this flight? Or maybe you are saying that our airliners come close to taking a sidewinder up the tailpipe on a regular basis because of drunken passengers?
