MSM will spin this saying Altariq was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Altariq “Was turning his life around”. His mother will say, “He is a good boy”.

Altariq Was turning his life around. His mother will say, He is a good boy.
Yes, poor Altariq, he was working on getting his GED when he wasn't in the church for choir practice or spending his nights patrolling the cold streets handing out blankets to the homeless.
Such a horrible shame he had to be murdered by this monster over a few coins Altariq was planning to drop in a homeless mans cup and a little motivational pressure applied to the murderers skull to coax him to donate to the homeless cause.

” He was a good boy.”
“He was getting his life turned around.” “He was starting to school tomorrow.” “He wanted to be a doctor.” “He was working his way through college.”
Any other adjectives to describe this paragon of virtue before the “nasty meanspitited policeman” deprived the world of one of its geniuses will be appreciated.
My personal opinion is that the policeman saved any number of innocent lives and should be given a medal and a meritorious promotion.

The officer's still in the hospital. I have placed a 9-1-1 call to the grammar police.

Then you'll get in trouble for false reporting!
"Officer's" is the correct contraction of Officer + is.

Philadelphia government has fought concealed carry for its citizens. Which is why a NJ criminal may have been hunting in downtown Philly. On the other hand, NJ is pretty much gun-free for the law abiding, I've heard.
To: TChris
It may be “correct” but I still think it’s poor grammar. Why don’t we just get rid of the word “is” altogether and just always use the contraction?
