He's tanned, he's rested and he's back in love with the cameras!

For the third day in a row since returning from his Christmas/New Year's vacation, Barack 'can't I just eat my waffles' Obama is appearing before the cameras to speak to the American people.

Today at 3 p.m., the Finger-Pointer-in-Chief will point his finger at everyone but himself yet again to tell the American people the latest 'Sham Wow' tale of what he is doing to keep Americans safe from terrorists.

Since the Christmas Day terrorist attack by al Qaeda on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 over Detroit, the Obama administration has tried out various pitches by various pitchmen.

Janet Napolitano and Robert Gibbs said "the sysytem worked."

That didn't work so Obama said the attack was by "an isolated extremist."

That didn't work so Obama said it was 'catastrophic failure' of the Bush administration.

That didn't work so John Brennan said there was "no smoking gun" the Obama administration had to stop the attack.

That didn't work so Obama said the intelligence community screwed up.

That didn't work so Jim Jones said yesterday that the nation will be "shocked" by what is in the report to be delivered by Obama today.

We all know what he going to say. It was a systemic failure of career government employees who were following the Bush policies and procedures. Obama will save the day by correcting these problem. He will go on to say how he views national security as his most important responsibilty and that the American people can rest assured that their safety is paramount. He will then go on to say what a tough job he has.

The purpose of the address is twofold. First, he must blame someone else for what happened [even if he says he is ultimately responsible] and second, he must demonstrate to the people that he is not weak on national security, especially after his feckless initial response after the attempted bombing.

And you can bet he will defend his criminalization of terrorists [citing all the valuable actionable intelligence they received] and that he still is committed to closing Gitmo.

There are times when I honestly think he's an evil genius. But there are increasingly more and more times like now that he reminds us all that he is just an empty university marxist with no starch, comprehension or real-life experience whatsoever.
