Ron Paul goes from sane to insane, sometimes in the same sentence.

But, he’s right on this — if the Tea Party and the Republicans don’t find a way to work together they will both lose in 2012 and we’ll have Obama for another 20 years.

But, but, but, Ron Paul founded the Tea parties. At least, that's what the Paulies tell us.

Ask yourselves, why is a kook like Ron Paul all of a sudden getting all of this media attention?

Remember how they played up McCain starting in 2006?

Are they repeating that fiasco with Ron Paul now?

Are we being manipulated to believe Ron Paul is our Premiere Republican now?

...and in fact the movement started with his 2008 campaign

Oh please, the current Tea Parties have very little resemblance to Paul's anti-war campaign events. The concept of Tea Parties has been around for a long time, since the 1700s to be exact, however, it is a common protest theme in this country. For example:

Tobacco Farmers Stage "Tea Party"- 1994
Republicans Hold a `Tea Party' for the Car Tax- 1998
Tea Party Rallies for Strip Club- 1998

... I can go on and on.. just from 1991-1999 there are 51,000+ new articles for "Tea Parties" of some sort- a decade before you claim the movement started...

If you can stomach it, you can view his whining this on the Rachel Maddow Program.

Ron Paul has a seat at the media's table, so long as he plays the house fool and bashes Republicans every chance he gets - and he knows it.

He's not playing... The Paul fanatics are fascinating. It's the rough equivalent of worshiping Pee Wee Herman and tacitly giving your support to masturbation in movie theaters.

The current movement, the Tea Party as we now know it, was what I referred to and I’m sure you understood but wanted to give a history lesson. That is fine. However, a google of “Ron Paul Tea parties” will back up what I said.

We all know who the keynote speaker at the First National Tea Party Convention will be, don't we? It will be the conservative's favorite.

You need to see the Maddow interview. He said nothing of the sort. This is the one of the worst examples of reporting I've seen a long time, and that's say a hell of a lot!

See the original youtube:

Stomach it!? He praises the tea party movement as a positive trend and criticizes the Democrats and Republicans are two peas in a pod when it comes to governing (the reality in American history). If you're a Republican party loyalist, on the other hand, I can see why you'd be upset.

I agree, however, that everyone needs to see this youtube rather than trust this poorly reported story: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uby-KdBqsGE&feature=player_embedded

Because Nature abhors a vacuum and the GOP doesn’t stand for anything but Slow Cooker Democrat Lite. So, you get Ron Paul. Or Ross Perot.

Which is fine, for the GOP. In as much they can live with the Democrats easier than doing any fundamental change.

“And I don’t even see them as being Republicans.”

Just like myself and many others do not see you as a Republican, or a Conservative for that matter.

“I think they’re unhappy. They’re unhappy with the establishment party. And that’s made up of the Republicans and the Democrats,”

Which means that as a career politician, you are part of the problem.

“If the Republicans don’t catch on to that, they can’t build their party.”

That’s why there is a push to oust RINO’s like you and juan mclame

“Paul is a favorite among (A very small minority of) the tea party crowd, but the former Republican presidential candidate suggested that the GOP should be wary of aligning themselves too closely to protesters who can be unpredictable in their actions and messaging.

Much like we should be wary of him aligning himself with the likes of dennis kucinich, lew rockwell and alex jones.

Republicans need to Reform and get back to the place they belong—back to Ronald Reagan! They can do this with ease. the Tea Parties are not GOP tools or cats paws. GOP must change from within. RINOs can’t do it. They need to follow the Gipper—grow a spine and set up a new agenda. Go Conservative and look to be idea driven and not party driven. They must change or go the way of the Whigs.

Be suspicious of anyone who appears on the Rick Maddow show. Ron Paul, like Meghan McCain, is loved by the people on the left - so long as he's running down hawkish foreign policy, or the Patriot Act.

Hawkish foreign policy?

Our foreign trade policies favor other nations, we been at war with countries that have no standing armies, navy's or air-forces longer that both WWI and WWII...We are clearly not respected as the lone superpower that we once were...Not to mention America, (here at home) is being illegally invaded by foreigners, by the tens of millions, compromising our entire system, as our standard of living sinks, while our enemies economies, and standred of living increase..

What is this "Hawkish" foreign policy you speak of?

"What is this "Hawkish" foreign policy you speak of? "

Paul wants us out of Iraq, out of Afghanistan, out of the middle-east, and to stop all military aid to Israel. If you don't like "hawkish" to describe that, pick another word. I'll describe it as "common sense measures taken to protect Americans at home".

Paul wants to take the GOP back to the isolationist's days of 1939 - no thanks. Sometimes to provide defense, you have to project a little (or a lot) of offense.
