“This is rich... and sad. The first nation to be deeply and officially offended by the U.S., under the first African-American president, is an AFRICAN nation. Severing ties is serious business, but when they call him “high-handed,” they have nailed it.”

If they sever their ties does that mean they are rejecting all of our foreign aid too? Sever away! ;-0

I believe only about 50% of Nigerians are Muslims, while 30-40% of its population are Christians. The rest are other religions, which include indigenous beliefs. Now, with total population of 155m, there are at least 50m Christians living there. More Christians live there than in many ‘Christian’ countries in Europe.

No, the Lagos airport actually HAS a use, unlike the one that Murtha had built for himself.

This is very good news. God bless your brother in law and the other missionaries from your church. God bless them indeed!! We have priests in this country from Africa, not sure of countries of origin.

Either they are truly blundering or deliberately alienating, off the top of my head, Poland, India, Britain, Japan and now Nigeria. It think it is partly to destroy what the Bush43 administration built. The question is how deliberately this is done. But I have never seen such destructive tendencies as with The One and The Rahm, an evil duo if there ever was one.

You are correct. The Christian population in Nigeria is exploding thanks to those who spread the word regarding the path to Christ and salvation. The Muslims in Nigeria are brutal but the government does provide great protection for Christian missionaries sent by the Lord to spread the truth. We should all pray for continued success in converting more and more Nigerians to Christianity. Many in my church, including my brother in law, are very committed to mission work in Nigeria.
