Why viral?

To shine more light on the filth that is the Democratic Party and how they operate. To inspire people to support Scott Brown, financially and time-wise. To show another example of what we Americans are up against. That's why. At a minimum, this should inspire MORE people to vote for SB.

“SB should arrive in DC as soon as the election has been called. Hell, he should give his victory speech from the steps of the Capitol Building!!! Or even better, give it from the plane on the way from Boston (or Bedford) to DC. Make the point immediately: I WON AND I BELONG IN THE CAPITOL BUILDING NOW!!!”

I agree 100%; that’s the most effective political strategy. But it’s just that, a political strategy. Getting the judiciary to mandate that the vote be certified before 10 days have expired, much less to mandate that theSenate seat Brown immediately, is not going to happen, because such an unconstitutional act on the part of the judiciary would only be xarried iut by extremely liberal activist judges, and they won’t do it to seat a Republican, especially one that allows the GOP to filibuster bills.

Because the only other opponent is far worse.

Oh my have they stepped in it...

Many here have noted that it may not be a good idea for Sarah Palin to endorse Scott since most of Mass.still has a moon-bat bent towards her.

But, if anything the average Ma voter is fair minded ( I grew up their and most of my family still lives their)....

So my guess she speaks out against this. This is such an afront to all, we don't want to wait in line at the DMV and Mass is known for a particularly bad DMV, so why should you wait to get sworn in?

This is the DMV-ing of the Senate, Right or Left this will piss so many off in MA.

I predict she comes out against this in the next few days....

This could be Boston Herald's way of saying to voters, "If you are voting for Brown because you don't want health care, don't bother."

The Herald is the conservative paper.

It's more likely that they are calling attention to this now in order to turn more people against continuing the Democrat machine.

What I suggested is part of the effective “Get in your face” strategy the left has been using for 50+ years.

The judiciary needs to be targeted and reformed, at all levels in this country. But one thing at a time.

Remember how they got Bill Owens seated within 3 days of his contested election, before they had even filed the certification for the election. Of course, that was New York, but seating is entirely at the behest of the Senate.

That was for the House, which had a much smaller constituency voting than an entire state.

The only problem is that the Republicans set the standard with the Al Franken election, where they asked that Franken not be seated until certification, including all court challenges. So all Reid has to do is say they are applying the same standard to Brown, and the media will back them 100%, because it will sound reasonable.

Then we have to hope that this election isn't so close that it can be contested.

If Brown wins outside the margin of error for a recount, then they can't contest it and hold it up.

Getting the judiciary to mandate that the vote be certified before 10 days have expired, much less to mandate that theSenate seat Brown immediately, is not going to happen...

Yet, somehow, it happened in 2007.

Niki Tsongas won a special election for Congress on October 16, 2007...and was seated in Congress on October 18.

Just in time, as it happened, to vote to override a GWB veto of the S-CHIP bill.

So, it's not that it can't be done. Instead, it won't be done.

Treason and treachery - with Rats there is no Constitution, only WINNING!

They see the masses bearing their torch and pitchforks and now they are mobilizing to keep their corrupt Anti-American Agenda after their fall.

GOP MUST shut down the entire Government if they proceed with this plan to disenfranchise America of its due right to vote.

Pass this law in this way and NOBODY will accept it as legitimate law and will never succumb to its mandates.

FoxNews showed a poll this morning that indicated he is trailing by nearly 10 points.
IMHO, this won’t be be an issue since he’s got a snowballs chance in hell with the citizens of Taxachusetts.

Of course the Secretary of State can certify the results early, and the Senate can seat the certified winner immediately, but you won’t see the judiciary mandate that they do so. That’s my point.

We need to apply pressure (through the media) to force an early certification of Brown, but a lawsuit would be a waste of time. We also need to apply pressure on the House not to approve Obamacare, thus making RAT certifucatin delays academic.

That’s my point.

Be assured, I don't disagree with it.

There is a measureable difference between a Democrat establishment certifying and then seating a Democrat -- and seating a Republican.

Who else can administer an "Oath"?

Scott is Retired Military , why not a JAG Judge?

Tell me where I am consitutionally wrong here, but we need a think out of the box alternative, and this would put the Dem's panties in a wad for sure...

Well said...I have begun to develop a complete dislike for the term RINO, even though I do understand what it means and what one looks like. For example, Arlen Specter was a real example of a RINO. I believe someone like Olympia Snowe is as well.

But lately, it seems to be a tag applied by ideological purists, and I don’t think the concept of “ideological purity” is at all constructive in the environment of a Constitutional Republic.

I am a big fan of Sarah Palin, but I know exactly what you mean. People have personalized her candidacy (or prospective candidacy) and already the purity tests from both within her circle outwards and from outwards looking at her are beginning to be built into walls.

I think we must be very wary of those walls, both the ones built by her supporters and those built by her opponents of all stripes. Walls like that have a way of ensuring that “perfect” completely blocks the evaluation and use of “excellent” or even “good”.

From my face book page
Rus Thompson Scott Brown swearing-in would be stalled to pass health-care

Anyone that knows me knows I hate corruption with every core of my being. Massachusetts, my home state and look at what they are attempting to do IF Brown wins. Disgusting.

From my blog....

Scott Brown swearing-in would be stalled to pass health-care

What a bunch of B….S…T. This wasn’t an issue with the Democrat Party when Hoffman lost the Congressional race in New York! As soon as he won and Hoffman conceded they swore in their vote for this health care mess in the House. Don’t you think that Brown getting elected the residents of Mass are saying NO to this bloated corrupt healthcare mess? I do. Especially when Massachusetts is such a Democrat controlled state, usually a Republican stands no chance in a state wide race. I ask all my friends and family to get out and vote on Jan 19th and vote for Brown. If he wins then demand he be sworn in as fast as the Democrats swore in their candidates across the country so they could get their votes in place. The internal polling on Scott Brown must be terrifying to the Dems.

Remember this???? NY23?
———————–
Washington — Fresh from his election victory Tuesday, Bill Owens traveled to Washington, D.C., today where he was sworn into office shortly after 1 p.m. and embarked on a busy schedule.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi staged a ceremonial swearing in of Owens at 1:07 p.m. She then hosted a cocktail reception for him. He was accompanied by his wife, Jane, three children and three grandchildren. He was given a standing ovation on the House floor after he recited the oath.

Owens said he will vote for the health care bill likely to come to the House floor tomorrow.

Massachusetts Secretary of State Bill Galvin is up for relection in 2010. Send him your thoughts on this.
