Jeb Bush is Back in the Game ("Dimmed the star" of Crist)
Florida Trend ^ | January 2010

Posted on 01/11/2010 6:50:17 AM PST by SoFloFreeper

As Florida Republicans struggle to define their future, a towering figure from the past has returned to call the shots. Former Gov. Jeb Bush retreated from the public spotlight when he left office in 2006, becoming almost reclusive. But in the last six months, Bush, revered by the party's conservative base, has reasserted his influence and is helping remake the state's political landscape more to his liking. In the process, Bush has dimmed the star of Gov. Charlie Crist.

Governor Jeb Bush said "I've gone as far as I can go" regarding Terri Schiavo while she lay tortured and dying at the hands of judicial terrorism.

Contrary to what Governor Bush said, as Chief Executor of the State of Florida, he DID have the authority and the duty to send in Florida State troopers to take Terri into protective custody. This, he should have done and THEN looked at the consequences and say, "Okay, now let's talk about this."

I would like to remind everyone and the Governor that Janet Reno didn't wait to hear from the Florida court before she went in to take Elian Gonzales. Janet Reno did not wait for the Texas court before she went into the Branch Dravidians compound at WACO. If Governor Bush had taken that one final step, Terri would be among us today.

If Governor Bush couldn't look out for the interest of one handicapped, abused woman, taking the final step that would have saved her life, then how can he be trusted to look out for the interest of our nation should he run for president?

No, Governor Bush is not a hero in the eyes of many of us. Although he initially gave all of us hope, in the end, he betrayed Terri, her parents, her siblings and those of us who believed he had the guts to do something.

At the beginning of the watch by those who wanted to protect Terri and who were standing outside her hospice of death, there were posters declaring Governor Bush a hero. When the Governor stated that "I've gone as far as I can go," the posters then displayed him with a big red "X" slashed across his face.

Should Governor Bush run for president, he will not have the support of the right-to-life people that helped to elect his brother.

One sign held by one of the demonstrators said, "This is how the holocaust started." Just as Hitler went through the courts in 1933 to rid German society of the handicapped, the mentally ill, the infirmed, followed by the Jews, Governor Bush allowed the Florida court to take this same, sick path.

One day Americans will wake up and say, "My God, My God, what have we done?" and Governor Jeb Bush will then realize that he did not do that which would have saved Terri's life.

Is this the same Jeb Bush whose wife tried to smuggle ten of thousands of dollars of designer clothes into the country?

Did she ever get prosecuted?

If any of us did it we’d still be in prison.

“we’ve been betrayed twice thinking the next is more conservative than the other,..”

Absolutely the truth! I was convinced that G.W. was unlike his mushy Dad. While I think he is honorable and loves the country (unlike the present White House occupier), he did increase domestic spending AND passed the *&^&* TARP!
His immigration stance....I will never forgive his glee at the advantage of Democrats retaking the House concerning immigration passage. Remember, “...see you at the signing.”?
He did set the stage for what exists now. I will vote Independent before voting for another Bush, McCain, or squishy RINO who has the blessing of the CFR or NWO groups.

“...He’s not his dad or his brother,...”

This is exactly what I heard and believed about G.W. - what is in the marrow is in the blood.

I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER vote for another Bush.

If someone nominates a Bush to anything higher than County Auditor, I will shout "Nay, nay, nay, nay, nay, oh my God a billion times NAY!"

Except for being a nice guy, what is it exactly that good ol’ Jeb did for Florida. I’m not a Floridian.

As an outsider here’s my impression of the man: Failed to fix Florida’s dysfunctional education system, failed to fix Florida’s dysfunctional DYFS, failed to do anything about Florida’s rampant drug problems, failed to do anything about Florida’s broken criminal justice system and was totally clueless about Demrat plans to corrupt the Florida presidential vote in favor of AlGore. IMHO Jeb is a poster child RINO.

There is no way I would ever trust a Bush again.

Yes he was a good governor. I will never vote for another Bush for President.

Unless you happened to be one of the thousands of individual and family property owners who lost their homes and land because they happened to be on the ass-end of his eco-commie land grabs.

In their case he was an extremely bad, or even evil governor.

Pro-Life Leaders Say John McCain Shouldn't Pick Charlie Crist for VP

I'm tired of voting for the lesser of two evils, but I had to. However, I am thoroughly convinced now that if John McCain had become our President, it would have been the end of the Republican Party and conservatism.

McCain was dead in the water until Sarah came along.

Jeb Bush is a member of the Council Of Foreign Affairs and working immigration reform. He wants open borders just like his brother and father. They all believe in one world government.

How about dismissing a lightweight governor who was punked by piffling state judge?

The Bush family has done enough. No more.
