Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel.
The network confirmed that Ms. Palin will appear on the networks programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person familiar with the deal said, though she will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time. This person would not elaborate, but the network does have a precedent for such a series. Oliver L. North is the host of an occasionally running documentary series on the military called War Stories.
Many suspected that when Ms. Palin retired as the governor of Alaska last summer she was doing so to pursue some sort of career in television. The Fox News deal, however, would not seem to be all encompassing, and would appear to give her room for other pursuits, as well.

Can’t wait for the lib head explosions to commence.
That doesn’t sound like “declaring for the presidency” to me.
Just saw this...the media will go nuts..
Palin joins Fox PING!!!!!
Yes! Go Sarah!!
WOW.
Yes! Yet another coup for FNC. :)
Yet another deft move for the Guv.
Lots of time 2011
Huckabee has his own show. Newt is considered a fox news contributor, I believe. Nothing preventing these two from being potential presidential candidates.
Not to me. Good opportunity to appeal to her base but......
Good. Maybe she can do a series of debates with the teleprompter like I suggested to Glenn Beck.
Wow, this will guarentee a whole lotta whine from the press. Good move on Sarah’s part - she gets to interject her political comments nationwide at her choosing, and she gets paid to do it. Nice.
“That doesnt sound like declaring for the presidency to me.”

You had this same concern about Huckabee? ;)
Palin is now a multi millionaire from book sales.
Now she has maybe a 1 million per year, multi year contract with Fox. I figured Ailes wouldn’t miss this opportunity. Not bad for a few months work ;-)
So is the purpose of this to keep her face out there and give her the chance to make intelligent commentary?
They will become apoplectic if Gov Palin starts contributions to the FOX Network.
Check with Mike Huckabee on that....
Who told you this would happen?
Months ago.....
It was Bert
Great news - expect a huge response from the left - squawking and bleating - it will be such fun to watch them pull their hair out.
Me either.
Good call. :)
I would be THRILLED if they actually replace Huck’s show with Sarah.....his is about the only one I turn off!
The best part is when Fox’s ratings rise due to her appearances the libs will bitch and moan and be confused why it happened. (while they tune in to watch)
Sorry, I don't keep up with what he does.
Bad idea in my opinion.
Sounds like she will play kingmaker instead of going for the prize herself.
Huckabee has a regular show on Fox, in which he plays a guitar and sort of embarrasses himself.
And frankly, it’s kept him polling strong in likely 2012 candidates - I think this is a (very) good move for Palin, and for Fox.
That doesnt sound like declaring for the presidency to me.
I suppose the world has to be in black and white for you ,no grey area ‘eh
Sarah Palin Signs Multi-Year Deal With Fox News Channel"MULTI-year" deal?
who said Sarah wasn’t smart? oh yea the dumbazz libs..nice move Sarah~~~~
We'll see how it works for Palin.
Me, I got no cable.
Like Huckabee???
I don't have any heartburn over this as long as its occasional like Newt and several other politicans (Rudy also contributes on Fox occasionally, too). I would think otherwise if she hosted a program like the Huckster.
That doesnt sound like declaring for the presidency to me.
I suppose the world has to be all black and white for you. No grey area ‘eh
So, apparently there might be something to last summer’s rumors that the Palin’s were looking at real estate on Long Island.
Palin / Bachmann 2012 !!
Speaking of, wouldn't it be great if she were to sub for... say Beck or O'Reilly, and have Michelle on as a guest!

More of the article...
I don't blame her a bit.
Of course, look what that leaves as possible candidates from the rinos!!
Yuuck!
Remember what she said about the view never changing for second dogs??? It's all or nothing for her politically at this point...
This is a good way for Palin to enhance her gravitas. Its better than posting on Facebook.
Being a Fox constributor, helped Huckabee. According to Public Policy Polling, Huckabee is the strongest candidate to challenge Obama in 2012.
What a good move!
Sarah is going around the MSM and now she will be on the only channel that is not part of the MSM.
This is one smart woman. She knows what she is doing.
Yeah, I agree. I take this as, she has zero plans on running for president. Maybe that is good in the long term, who knows. Problem is, who the hell else is out there???!!!
Doesnt sound like she is having her own show, she will be a political commentator, kinda like Dick Morris and Karl Rove, except its gonna be Sarah Palin..This is AWESOME news! now she will have an even bigger audience to go after Obama and his policies
