Looks like the White House is conspiring with state governors to work with the Dept of Homeland defense. I am sure we all recall that latest definition of terrorist coming out of Napalitano's office.

"You walk into this room at your own risk, because it leads to the future; not a future that will be, but one that might be. This is not a new world: It is simply an extension of what began in the old one. It has patterned itself after every dictator who has ever planted the ripping imprint of a boot on the pages of history since the beginning of time. It has refinements, technological advancements, and a more sophisticated approach to the destruction of human freedom. But like every one of the super states that preceded it, it has one iron rule: Logic is an enemy, and truth is a menace. This is Mr. Romney Wordsworth, in his last forty-eight hours on Earth. He’s a citizen of the State, but will soon have to be eliminated, because he’s built out of flesh and because he has a mind. Mr. Romney Wordsworth, who will draw his last breaths in the Twilight Zone..."

...Shrub started it...This requirement was enacted while Bush was still pres.

“The formation of the Council of Governors was required by the Fiscal Year 2008 National Defense Authorization Act which stated, “The President shall establish a bipartisan Council of Governors to advise the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the White House Homeland Security Council on matters related to the National Guard and civil support missions.” (NDAA FY2008, Sec 1822)”

I wonder how many will be groveling at his feet to get appointed.

Since by his own order at least five have to be republicans I wonder what he'll do if no republicans agree to it?

The government has been taken over by hostile forces. At this point I don’t believe congress is even calling the shots any more.

One purpose is to end federalism altogether. Replace federal government with national government in principle, attempting to nullify the Tenth Amendment.

I am hoping Sarah Palin is willing to voice her views on this, either on her website, Facebook or the remote possibility of it on FOX.

And I wonder what Glenn Beck thinks of this...

Barry can take this EO and wipe his butt with it. It's that legal.

An EO only effects departments in the Executive Branch of the gubmint, who work for the Executive, the POTUS. Unless said EO is further acted upon by Congress and made into a law.

Even then the 'Executive', the POTUS, has no authority over any state governor -- nada, zip, zilch, zero. He can't 'appoint' a council, and then said council of ten as in this case, has no authority over the other forty.

So for all intents and purposes he may have well issued an EO on:

A Council of Federal Legislators
or a
Council of Federal Judges
This *thing* is meaningless and just a tad bit Unconstitutional. So I hope they print it on soft paper for use in all the rest rooms.

I want to know who took all of Barry's tests in college and law school because this moron sure didn't!

The key concept is

“...integration of State and Federal military activities in the United States”.

The stupidest thing Obama ever disclosed was his junvenile wet-dream about the creation of a “defense force” as equally funded as the military. It will never happen because no one would permit it, and the money does not exist to fund it.

This is his fallback strategy. He wants control of the National Guard troops in every state to be able to use them for his own ends without having to worry about those pesky Governors. His is insane, drinking his own kool-aid if he thinks this will come to pass.

obama takes one more step to take complete control of the Country.

One more duck lined up.

When he has everything like he wants it, then he will make his move.

He will then turn pn and begin “preventative” detention of those he considers his political enemies, [who oppose him].

He is relentlessly and methodically moving to complete his agenda. Which is to take cpmplete control of the Nation, including the military.

Everyone who has taken an oath to defend and uphold the Constitution sees with both eyes, even if they are closed, the Constitution being shredded minute by minute by him, yet says nothing.

"Satrapy".....the word "satrapy" (from the Persian) is used in modern times to refer (usually derogatorily) to the loyal subservient lieutenants or governors of some powerful figure in government, politics or business.

"Satrap".....a subordinate ruler or governor.
