In blogs, interviews and e-mails, "birthers" around the country are reporting surveillance and visits from the U.S. Secret Service, whose agents have questioned – or, as some report, intimidated – them over their insistence that Barack Obama prove his constitutional eligibility to serve as president.
As WND reported, Stephen Pidgeon, an attorney for Washington state plaintiffs challenging Obama's eligibility, grew suspicious in March when his wife and coworkers reported being shadowed by police and three, black SUVs.
"We are definitely under surveillance and it's coordinated with Homeland Security," Pidgeon alleged.
In November, Dale Laudenslager, a member of the American Grand Jury movement's attempt to have Obama indicted for fraud and even treason, reported on The JAG Hunter blog more direct confrontation: an unannounced home visit by a Pennsylvania state police officer and two Secret Service agents.
"They came in regard to the criminal complaint I sent to the FBI and the fact that [Obama] is going to be in a town very close by," Laudenslager writes. "I told them I had no violent intentions, but we do intend to remove [Obama] from office through the court system. I handed them the AGJ presentments. I told them they have been mailed or hand delivered to courts and public officials all over this country. They seemed satisfied, took a copy of the presentments, left their cards and left."

Interesting that both organizations go by the same initials of SS.
I’m sure they are watching and even visiting the more vocal members of the movement.
But, we must give them a bit of a break here, we are truly in uncharted waters with Bambi and his birth certificate issue. They probably have little clue as to how they should proceed with these types of “complaints’.
Its not like every President has their citizenship challenged and goes to great length to hide the very documents that would settle this question once and for all.
They must have some theory that anyone else wishing to go down the same road as Orly Taitz might be teched enough in the head to try something else desperate on the Bummer.

I tend to believe the speculations that all this documentation was destroyed long before Bummer became a serious contender for the presidency of the US. Bummer might not be able to bring it back if he wanted to.

Funny that you mention it because a great majority of Americans don't believe he is qualified to be president. All he has to do is provide his REAL legitimate birth certificate for verification. Obama's is locked up tighter than the secret recipe for KFC chicken. What other conclusion is the average American to make knowing the "secrecy" invoked that could so easily be proven by Obama for all to know once and for all? It's such an easy thing for him to do, but he has such a large investment in that closely guarded secret vault.....with all those secret documents - not a one of them available for ANYONE to see.

What’s the mission for the Secret Service? To protect the president of the United States from physical harm.
It’s not to go after political rivals or his critics because they give him grief over his policies, or even if they think he has usurped the office and if they are seeking peaceful means to bring about the truth that may lead to his removal of office.
It’s possible the SS gets pressure from the White House to go after their political adversaries that they satisfy their political bosses and may proceed with a perfunctory investigation even if they do not see a physical threat to the president.
People have forgotten that point you made. It can not be mentioned enough, puts things into perspective.

They had the right, indeed the NEED, to go after Bush in an insatiable frenzy, but now when records are sought for THIS president, all of a sudden he is considered "untouchable" and the media labels those who ask the question with a derogatory term (because of THEIR refusal to do their job the same way they would have done it had Bush been the one with this information questioned). It's hypocritical and it's a sign the media is in lockdown protective mode, per whatever instructions they've been given (or not given as the case may be - and that includes Fox News).
