BOSTON — A reporter trying to question the Democrat seeking to replace Edward Kennedy in the Senate has been involved in a scuffle with one of her advisers.

John McCormack of the Weekly Standard fell Tuesday night near Attorney General Martha Coakley. He was audiotaping her while trying to pass a metal grate on a Washington sidewalk.

Photos and video show Coakely adviser Michael Meehan trying to help McCormack up.

From what I can see, the thug stood near the reporter as he asked his question, then walked around to the reporter's back. As Coakley walked up the sidewalk with the reporter walking behind her with his micro-recorder held high, the thug hockey-checked the reporter from behind on the reporters right, shoving him into the low restaurant railing (which could be plainly seen) then picked the reporter up not to help him but to intimidate him. The the thug then continued to body-check the reporter from the front but the reporter stayed on his feet.

The thug should be charged.

It’s going to continue to get nastier. That guy ( the blocker) Coakleys goon could of been dropped in a pinch. But He was paid to do that, be there, and that reporter was alone. If the attacker’s nose an mouth came up wet and red cause someone was there to assist the reporter. Different story. Happy ending.

This Meehan character is just not some "ordinary" staffer. Turns out that he was "The Senior Communications Adviser" for get this...the 2004 Kerry for President Campaign. He was already a high ranking 'Rat Operative and that was 6 years ago! This claim about the incident being inadvertent is complete BS. He knew exactly what he was doing.
