U.N.'s World Health Organization Eyeing Global Tax on Banking, Internet Activity
Foxnews ^ | 1/15/2010 | Staff

Posted on 01/15/2010 12:01:27 PM PST by Red in Blue PA

The World Health Organization (WHO) is considering a plan to ask governments to impose a global consumer tax on such things as Internet activity or everyday financial transactions like paying bills online.

Such a scheme could raise "tens of billions of dollars" on behalf of the United Nations' public health arm from a broad base of consumers, which would then be used to transfer drug-making research, development and manufacturing capabilities, among other things, to the developing world.

The multibillion-dollar "indirect consumer tax" is only one of a "suite of proposals" for financing the rapid transformation of the global medical industry that will go before WHO's 34-member supervisory Executive Board at its biannual meeting in Geneva.

Hey, Taxation without representation & taxes imposed by a foreign government. I here there were some problems with that back in the 1770s. Some of the original tea party members were involved. Are we going to have to throw wireless routers and ATMs into Boston harbor before this is over?

These people that slur the jews with money/power issues - it’s pure projection.

These leftist globalists are the most power-hungry control freaks I have ever seen.

I think there needs to be a popular vote referendum in every state that asks
1. should the UN building be demolished.
2. should the occupants be told beforehand?

If they take my money with the implied threat of force behind it, that is perfectly legal.

But if I show up on the Capitol with a gun looking for real change, I am a criminal.

What would the Founders have thought of this situation?

They are rolling over in their graves.

And all of the colonial governors were puppets of the king. It was a bartender, a silversmith and a bunch of their buddies who decided that the time for debate was over and the time for throwing stuff into the harbor had begun. If enough people show up in New York for the New York moving party, and proceed to throw the furniture from the UN building into Turtle Bay, we may be able to get our point across to the UN bureaucrats.

We should take the first step by cutting off funding then throw the UN out of These United States. Why fund one of the most corrupt organizations on the planet!

Tax the world? Screw the UN and its collective pigs.

The Unpunished Nazis should be disbanded. We do not need to tax Americans to fund Anti-American Globalists in the UN

Time to disband the UN and all its linked organizations (WTO, etc)

... to transfer drug-making research, development and manufacturing capabilities, among other things, to the developing world ...

Global corporations are already doing this under the rubric of globalism and off-shoring; guest workers in the US enable the necessary knowledge transfer. And US workers are already paying the price in depressed salaries and unemployment.

Now THAT’s what I call redistribution of wealth, and they are so open, and brazen about it.

We have to shut down that club of despots ASAP. Perhaps like yesterday. Get the UN the “H” out of our lives.

Was only a matter of time till this happened. Violent response is the only thing that will fend this off, and judging from the lack of violent response to the usurper’s raping of the Constitution, I’d predict this is pretty much a done deal under Obamas watch.

a "digital tax or 'hit' tax." The report says the levy "could yield tens of billions of U.S. dollars from a broad base of users

And soon to come, taxed UBB (Usage based billing), courtesy of Ma Bell and the UN.

1. All candidates for office in November should be asked to sign a statement pledging to uphold American soveriegnty.

2. A petition should be circulated among elected officials demanding that the US defund the United Nations.

Now is the time.

Well, G doublya loathed the constitution...and the Obomination does too....why does a global tax have to pass the “constitution” sniff test?

Congress can tax us and then give it to the UN which would accomplish the same end. They do that already and can just add new taxes to raise more money for the UN.
