The Shot Heard Round the World… Scott Brown & Rudy Campaign in Boston (Video)
Gateway Pundit ^ | 1-15-10 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 01/15/2010 5:41:50 PM PST by STARWISE

In 1837 Ralph Waldo Emerson penned the “Concord Hymn” that described the impact of the battle at Old North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts, on April 19, 1775. The words “the shot heard round the world” are meant to emphasize that a critical event happened at this location that triggered something of global importance.

“By the rude bridge that arched the flood, Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled; Here once the embattled farmers stood, And fired the shot heard ’round the world.”

This week another shot was heard around the world.

Scott Brown and the citizens of Massachusetts let the world know that The People have had enough of the politics of destruction, entitlement, blame and corruption coming from Washington DC.

Scott Brown released this terrific video today of his walk through Boston with Rudy Giuliani. It was a beautiful day in historic Boston:

During the walk in Boston one of Brown’s supporters said, “This is the shot heard round the world.”

Yes it is.

Another reader wrote today asking, “Are we witnessing the New Paul Revere?”

It’s historic, that’s for sure.

In memory of Ted Kennedy—who is DEAD—something he said before he DIED, making him DEAD—we should all remember those who “fired the shirt round the world.”

Ted Kennedy is DEAD. MMMmmmm. It just feels good to be reminded.

If it’s a RINO who is almost pro-life against a bloodthirsty, Satan-worshipping, Democrat baby-killer, I’ll go with the RINO.

Yes, Brown opposes partial birth abortion. That is great, but it only amounts to roughly 1% of all abortions performed annually. FACT: Brown supports 99% of all abortions carried out. Not to mention he supports Roe v Wade.

As Brown has stated:

"Abortions should always be legally available."

The abortion "decision should ultimately be made by the woman in consultation with her doctor..."

Brown's words are crystal clear.

He is running in MA so I don’t expect him to be a conservative just as if Rudy ran in NY I also would not expect him to be conservative. To me if each is conservative in the economic area then they are ok with me.Some states it is a choice between Rinos or libs and in that race I’d choose rino everytime!

HELP SCOTT !!

(stole this from another FReeper, but bears repeating)

•People in ANY state can volunteer for the phone bank! http://www.resistnet.com/forum/topics/phone-calls-for-freedom-call-1?commentId=2600775%3AComment%3A1891491&xg_source=activity

•Anyone… Anywhere… Contribute! https://www.icontribute.us/scottbrown

•Live in or near MA? Volunteers still needed at many regional offices. If you can help, please email Laura@brownforussenate.com and she will tell you how.

•If you live in Massachusetts, become an election judge. In Boston they pay $135-$185 and they NEED Republican monitors.

Needed; military and retired law enforcement VFW and police organizations etc to monitor polls- prevent the voter fraud they’re plotting right now. Video tape everything; document everything; prosecute the perpetrators. http://www.cityofboston.gov/news/default.aspx?id=3599

Thanks for the additional information. I was not aware of his position on Roe.

Brown is like the new Mitt Romney, but he is the best the GOP can hope for in MA. Just like the Libtards, we have to understand that we cannot change our opponent's positions overnight.

Brown is not the end all, do all Candidate, but his success can help the Conservatives begin to reclaim the territory that has been lost since Reagan won the Presidential Vote in MA back in 1984.

I don't like it, but purity is not the issue when we are facing a Political party with a take no prisoners Marxist Agenda and Ideology.

I agree with Mark Levin on this one, Brown is the Candidate we have and we must support him.

I agree .. it’s a horrible choice for a
Christian. She, however, is truly Satan’s
handmaiden, as proven by her appalling
suggestion to Christian healthcare workers
in Christian hospitals refusing to participate
in abortions, among other extreme leftist
positions.

This is truly an election where every Brown
voter is critical, it’s that historically
close.

Tell that to the baby just aborted.

I am fanatically anti-abortion, but where do you think that just aborted baby's soul is.

Do you think God is oblivious to the needs of the innocent?

I think one of you asked...

Hannity just said that MA is the second largest Catholic demographic area in the country.

FYI, the quote from Voltaire loosely translated is "The best is the enemy of the better."

Sometimes I wonder if "Reagan Man" is a plant to get and maintain a socialist majority in our government.

GOOD to know.
I might add, then it’s high time they started voting like Catholics. Scott Brown is RC.
