Obama plans rare appearance Sunday at a church in the District
By Hamil R. Harris
President Obama will deliver remarks about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday morning when he appears at a church in the District for the second time since he was inaugurated and the third since his election.
The White House did not disclose the name of the church Obama will attend Sunday.
“Stump?” As in metaphorically withdrawing a bloody stump when he tried to pet the Massachusetts voters?
I'm not believing it until I see it.
LOL exactly what I was thinking.
Isn’t that special.
That's easy, look for devil worship cults in the gay newpapers, they've got to have someplace for Barney Frank to go...
Obama...setting foot in a church?
Well now isn’t that special.
(Watch out for clear-sky lightning strikes in Massachusetts)
That's easy, look for devil worship cults in the gay newpapers, they've got to have someplace for Barney Frank to go... Maybe the Unitarian Universalists?
Apparently, they haven’t been able to find a church in DC to attend.
First time for Obama to go to church in about a year.
And will he bring coffee for Clinton who’s already there?
Churches and “saving lives in Haiti” will make such great photo ops for this narcissist.
“will he choose the negro dialect?”
Can I have an Amen?
Would that be a catholic church by any chance? To curry favor with the catholics in Massachusetts? This creep won’t do anything that doesn’t benefit him politically somehow.
There’s got to be a reason for him to wanna go to church all of a sudden.
Depends on the church.
I guess the fear of losing that "Kennedy seat" made him have a come to Jesus moment.
HEY HUSSEIN! THE DEMOGRAPHIC THAT DOESN'T GIVE TO CHARITY ARE CLOWNS LIKE YOU! LIBERALS, ACADEMICS, ETC.
Obama to appear at District church where King spoke
By Hamil R. Harris
In his second appearance at a local church since taking office, President Obama on Sunday will attend a historic African American congregation in Northwest Washington. He was expected to speak from a pulpit where the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. once stood.
The first family is expected to attend the Vermont Avenue Baptist Church, a 144-year-old congregation in the Logan Circle area where on February 7, 1968, King delivered a sermon that was part of a series entitled “In search of a sense of direction.”
“Dr. King stood for the cause of Christ and righteousness and justice in spite of a political backlash,” Wheeler said in an interview, recalling that King came to a church only months before his death and during a time when he was unpopular in many political circles because of his stand on the Vietnam War.
“He pushed for what was right for our nation and that ought to be a guide for us now right now in the shadow of eh health care debate, the disaster in Haiti and what else is going on in the world,” Wheeler said.
I say he chooses to speak like Uncle Remus today.
So now he campaigns for Coakley on the backs of the Haitian people.
If they allow obama to speak from the pulpit, I would not call it a Church. It would be more of a social club.
Jesus commented on “churches” like this in the New Testament. He began with “On that day, many will say, Did we not ...... in your Name. He finished by saying,”Depart from Me you workers of iniquity [sp?], I never knew you”.
mussie in church?
What, the kids don't receive any religious instruction?
LOL. How appropriate.
I wonder if he will bring his accordion with him?,
There are no atheists in foxholes.
Of course not!!!!! The Obama family has barely seen the inside of a church since they left their mentor and his hate America church, the American Hating Rev. Jeremiah Wright. If he really cared about the poor people of Haiti, Obama, Bill Clinton, or Michelle Obama should be on the island displaying our “real support & concern” for the devasted folks in Haiti. Where are the three deadbeats? Why, up in Massachusetts, trying to cover their own butts for their “not-too-bright” senate candidate, Martha Coakley, You know, politics transcends any natural disaster!!!! Barack Obama could care less for the folks in Haiti!!! As for the other buffoon, Hillary Clinton, this cutie made naught but a “whistle stop” in Haiti and.....said let me get the heck out of here as fast as I can. I here tell her input back to Obama was: “send Bush Jr. & Bush Sr. to Haiti, then when it goes south and bad,we can blame those low life Republicans.” Folks, in MA, if you want change, vote for Scott Brown next Tuesday and send these deadbeat losers down the flushing toilet where they rightfully belong!!!!
0bama: I have a health care dream ...
Obama is attending Church? It took a competitive Senate Race for him to re-find God?
I didn’t know he knew what a real church is.
Isnt this the first time the Barf Family has set foot in a “CHURCH” since his Inauguration! OBOZO is the Idiotic Gift that keeps on Destroying! And today, OBOZO is making a big deal of giving Haiti $100 Million when he gave Mary Landreiu $300 Million just for her one freakin Vote on one terrible GOD Forsaken Bill! May OUR GOD SAVE US and AMERICA from Satan’s Right Hand Prophet.
“Obama to give church talk, stump in Massachusetts”
A bit like a xxxxx in church, huh!
The MLK dialect. ;)
This is spot on.
He is making a campaign stump, presumably the trip paid for the Coakley campaign, or the DNC, or the DSCC (sp?). Is he visiting to talk about Haiti and HIS healthcare "reform" a mechanism for taxpayers to foot the [large, very large] bill instead?
“Isnt that special.”
It’s spatial all right!
“The White House did not disclose the name of the church Obama will attend Sunday.”
Did hell freeze over? ;-)
Did he go to Church on Jesus’ birthday?
I thought there was supposed to be a seperation of church and state?
Somebody said: “there are no fox-hole atheists.”
Maybe he figures he’s in one now.
