ZERO said that "Everybody can buy a truck."
Scott Brown replied:
Mr. President, unfortunately in this economy, not everybody can buy a truck. My goal is to change that by cutting spending, lowering taxes and letting people keep more of their own money.

Nice one, Scott!!

He is more conservative than half the GOP leadership now.
WhaaaaHOooo
Go Scott Go
Actually, Obama was talking about those Green Matchbox Trucks!!
Where’s my truck? I want a truck!
The GOP should be embarrassed that a Republican is showing flashes of fiscal conservatism..
are you listening Steele?
He is pretty much very, very Conservative. Maybe he isn’t that Conservative on abortion, but he seems to be Conservative on everything else(”Climate Change”, healthcare, fiscal issues, death penalty, Homosexual Marriage). The fact that he will win(it isn’t “may” anymore, it is “will”) the Kennedy seat is not only unusual because he is a Republican, but he is a Conservative Republican. I wish him luck.
If he wins, he just may play a big/huge role in the future. That tends to happen to people who have that senate seat.
Excellent response. Obie is probably in ORBIT now...not a good day for Obie. :-D
Even in Mass-o-taxes people are starting to get a clue that the current Democrat Party are not here to help them.
And from Massachusetts, no less.
He’s got a comeback for everything, no? I think he will serve Mass well.
When I heard Obama say those words today, I knew he ways going to have to eat them.
I’m glad Brown feed them to him while they were still hot. I hope they burned Obama’s lips and made his monster ears sweat.
Oh, and I too drive a pick-up truck.
Definitely a step in the right direction!
Scott has *it*. He really connects with the people especially in MA.
I hope he runs for President....I am not kidding. He is the antidote to Obama. I think he would be Obama in 2012.
Marcia. I mean Martha “Not Dukakis in a dress” Coakley has to be the worst candidate in the history of America.
He is more conservative than half the GOP leadership now.
Scott Brown apparently has a talent for witty, pithy, on-point and devastatingly effective quips and comebacks. Such a talent should never be underestimated, nor squandered. Conservatives (and the GOP) should seek to use this resource effectively in the future, regardless of the outcome of Tuesday’s election.
>> ZERO said that “Everybody can buy a truck.”
Didn’t every tax payer buy a little a GM truck for someone else?
BTTT

What a guy.
Patches Kennedy rooting for Marcia the new lead on Drudge.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Give Patches a break, That’s how I say Martha when I’m loaded.
Brown is a libertarian. Closer to Ron Paul than to John McCain.
“Scott has *it*. He really connects with the people especially in MA.

My thoughts exactly. He is also quick on his feet — after his quick response “this is not Kennedy’s seat, this is the people’s seat” and this response, I am endorsing him for GOP nominee for president for 2012. This is exactly the guy we need to beat the big O.
I was thinking the same thing. Fred Barnes said that in 2010 the real leader of the Republicans will appear.
Senator Scott Brown 41st senator of the US Congress for President. Very interesting.
Clinton had Monica destroy him and no one saw it coming.
Hillary had Obama destroy her andf no one saw it coming.
Obama had Scott Brown destroy him and no one saw it coming.
Very interesting indeed.
Yes we can...and yes we did via clunker cash...OURS! Plus with ObamaCare we too will buy the Unions some healthcare coverage. Aren't we such generous yet loathed chumps in DemWorld redistribution of wealth schemes?
Great point. I remember in the 1980 campaign Reagan was portrayed as an old, mean-spirited, scary warmonger. This sort of made sense because in 1976 Reagan ran a hard-line campaign against Ford which focused on topics like wasteful entitlement programs and the Soviet Union. Reagan ran in the 1980 primaries on similar ideas. But in 1980 general election campaign, Reagan came across in the debate as likable and quick-witted. "There you go again", delivered with Reagan's classic smile, was the catchphrase of the election.
It is hard to demonize someone who is likable, and quick-witted retorts build that likability.
Compare this to someone like Newt Gingrich, who pushed very similar ideas around entitlements as Reagan, but had no charm like Reagan. The demonization stuck to Gingrich.
>> Aren’t we such generous yet loathed chumps in DemWorld redistribution of wealth schemes?
Both wealth and hope.
It also helps that Scott is in the Army Reserves. If he trounces in Mass - I think he can win anywhere. He is more conservative than Mitt too.
Scott can beat Obama. He might be able to carry California because people are so angry. I think he win with all factions of Repubs and pick up lots of Democrats plus he can win with women and young people.
Presidential races often comes down to younger candidate and good looks....it is huge.
McCain was too old and feeble for many especially the young. Scott would trounce Obama there.
Speaking of Obie, anyone seen or heard from him after his bad day?
He’s fetching Marcia Obie’s coffee.
How about a Palin/Brown or Brown/Palin ticket?
Reminds me of Marie Antoinette's famous statement, when told that the French peasants had no bread to eat, "Then let them eat cake."
Same sort of clueless arrogance.
Brown is closer to Ron Paul than John McCain
You say that like its a bad thing.
Zero got B-Slapped!

MELTDOWN
The [2008 Financial] Meltdown Orchestrated?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2430464/posts
“Sure, it could be pure coincidence that exactly at 11 a.m. a wave of concerned investors all decided it was time to electronically withdraw their funds thus creating this crescendo drawdown effect setting in motion a worldwide panic. It could be coincidence. But, its doubtful. The fact that the identities of those who simultaneously decided to withdraw their money at 11 a.m. on Sep. 18, precipitating this panic, were never released, does lead one to question whether or not something sinister was at work.”

Baraq Sheik Obama seems to have forgotten that his Kash-4-Klunkers program sent thousands of affordable trucks to crushers instead of people’s driveways.
We need more like him. A Republican who is a fighter not afraid to stand up to the democrats. And not just words.
Just a one-time ping unless you ask to be on/off.
Most days, I don’t ping even once. I try to keep the ping as light bandwidth as possible and less than once a day. But times like this, news is hot and fast.
Want on the list? Just let me know. What a day. FRegards ....
I'm sure we'll be seeing him later. He has to make a couple of obligatory MLK appearances and photo ops. He might even show up at a church speaking with his negro dialogue.
Please note post 41 followed by 42 [response to the ping itself]. Please note that the response is the heavier post, a casual news letter I guess.
Can you count, man?
Brown would be an interesting VEEP, but I prefer a governor to be nominated.
