According to a top Brown campaign adviser, there are "longer lines outside Boston than inside. Not good sign for Coakley. Scott's voters highly motivated."
A Democratic source says get-out-the-vote efforts have been good for Coakley, but adds, "I don't know if the machine gets you 10 points."

"Where have you been?
It's alright we know where you've been.
What did you dream?
It's alright we told you what to dream!
So welcome, welcome, welcome...to The Machine."

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find only things evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelogus
IOW, McCain would have lost this race. :)
What is NECN?
No single thing. I am not saying he’s really bad. I’m just saying there is plenty of negative there, as with Romney. But voting for him against Coakley really is a no brainer.
I was not even going to vote in the presidential election until Palin was brought in. And to be frank, if McCain HAD won, and was still alive (IOW, Palin is just Veep) I think we just might be in even worse shape than we are now, partly because the DEMS would be saying “I told you so”.
Where did that comment come from? This is the most conservative candidate I have ever seen run for statewide office here (in my lifetime, anyhow). We would be honored to have Scott Brown represent us in the senate for any period of time.
so MA was better off with Ted Kennedy or would be better of with Coakley?
She’s was testing the waters while he was sick.
New England Cable News, an all-news TV channel. I’m pretty sure that the other night a reporter described the recent Michael Meehan commotion as “(the reporter) slipped on a grate and Meehan tried to help him up...”
Scott of the Senate replaces the Sot of the Senate.
Coakley made no secret of her desire to run for Kennedy's seat well before Kennedy died in August of last year. Kennedy nephew Stephen E. Smith later told the Boston Herald, "She set up a committee six months before my uncle died. There were people on the corner with a huge 'Coakley for Senate' sign two days after his funeral." Coakley formally announced her candidacy a week after Kennedy's death. One of Coakley's main rivals for the Democratic nomination, Rep. Michael Capuano, told the Herald, "I couldn't do it. I couldn't step over someone's grave."
New England Cable News (NECN) is a regional cable television network owned and operated by Comcast serving the New England region of the United States.
Just spoke with a friend who follows MA. politics closely and he said do not underestimate the Dems. They will do everything they can to pull this out. I just hope it’s too late for them to turn it around.
The voting in my town was huge, as large as it was for the 2008 race.
What's the political orientation in that town?
My guess is Brown Brown 54 Croakly 44.5 Kennedy 1.5 add the 3.5 Dim Cheat Machine you will get Brown 51.5 Croakly 48 Kennedy 1.5
“I find a landslide highly unlikely. I think the two key numbers are % of Democrats who crossover for Brown (must be north of 15%) and % of Independents who go with Brown (must be north of 65%) and even with that, I think its only a three point Brown win”
I think you are exactly right. The demographics do not favor a Brown blowout, but a close 1-2 point victory if reasonable assumptions are made - like 2/3 of independents going for Brown, and 95% of republicans. This means that you have to get about 10% of dems to vote for Brown to squeak out a win. I think all of this is possible, but anymore is wishful thinking. Turnout will be the key. The only way there could be a blowout is if dumbcrats stay home.
I expect about a 2 point win for Brown. Final results Brown 50, Coakley 48, Kennedy 2. This will allow 0zer0 to claim he almost pulled it off for Coakley to try to keep other dumbcrats from throwing 0zer0 under his own bus.
>>so MA was better off with Ted Kennedy or would be better of with Coakley?<<
I’ve asked people who thought I should vote no matter what: If I were a Jew, should I vote for Hitler or Stalin?
It went for Obama big time. Huge Irish Catholic population. Most of the people I saw were middle aged to elderly. Virtually no yoots.
A couple notes about the “machine” in Mass.
1.The machine is rusty and hasn’t been used for a long time.
2. Browns ascent was so sudden and late that the dems were caught flat footed.
