Since Scott Brown came to high prominence on FR a couple weeks back, there has been a lot posted about him on this forum. Most of it good, most of it positive and in my opinion, most of it wrong. The vast majority of FReepers have been civil and willing to give Brown the benefit of the doubt. Some have crossed the line and allowed their frustration to boil over into anger. I understand peoples emotions are running high and that sometimes those emotions get the better of them, clouding their judgment. But what has gone on around here recently with Brown is nothing short of infatuation and naivety. With some folks even lionizing and idolizing this unknown and unproven public servant. “Scott Brown for President!”? LOL

Taking away a Senate seat held by two Kennedy brothers for 54 years, especially at this time, is poetic justice and good news. Removing a Senate seat from the Democrats column and striking a blow against the Obama agenda is even better news. But seeing that Senate seat handed to someone who speaks more for northeast liberalism and not for traditional mainstream conservatism, is not something to cheer about on FRee Republic. Selling out your principles for short term gain of political expediency is wrong. As we all know, political rhetoric is no replacement for sound leadership. When Brown says, abortion is a Constitutional right, and RomneyCare is good, but ObamaCare is bad, my liberal alarm goes off. Keep that in mind.
