The Obama White House, shell-shocked by the victory of Republican Scott Brown in the Massachusetts U.S. Senate special election, no longer predicts Congress will pass health care this year.

"I think it's always hard to tell how these things sort out in the first hours," President Obama's senior adviser David Axelrod told Fox News on Wednesday when asked if health care was now dead.

I think that what you are seeing is just the beginning. The people now know that they CAN get what they want if they just vote and vote for the best interest of the country. There’s more important things going on than the health care bill but the present bill has to get out of the way for our country to rebuild itself. The people also know that they know better than Washington when if comes to fixing our country. All our government has to do is get out of the way, stop putting us further in debt and stop the corruption. If they don’t, the people will fix them also.

FROM THE ARTICLE
At the daily briefing, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Obama’s team and Democrats in Congress were “working through the best way forward” and that includes exploring “a lot of different paths.”

Read between the lines.
They are carefully trying to figure out which Repubs can be bribed the way they bribed Nelson for his vote. There is talk of them heavily courting Snowe.

Health Care reform will pass by Aug 2009
Health Care reform will pass by Christmas 2009
Health Care reform will pass by Jan 19 2010
Health Care reform will not pass in 2010
Health Care reform is dead.

“Axelrod said the White House doesn’t want any Senate action on health care until Brown is seated. “I think it would be inappropriate,” Axelrod said. “I think the people of Massachusetts would consider it inappropriate, and that’s something we won’t do.”

I don’t believe this lying rat bstrd as far as I could throw him...and I would live to get the opportunity to see how far that might be...has anyone seen the Maine witches lately?

If Snowe shows any inclination of going the way of the Democrats, she needs to be recalled now. The Republicans need to ask her what she’s going to do and get a commitment. If they can’t get that commitment, work to get her recalled. The people put in office and the people can take her out.

perhaps they can cover some of the cracks in the dam with their fingers and toes (with bribes)... however, new cracks are forming (blue dog Dems and Dems from red states)...

Every blog I am hitting the people are the equivalent of the angry mob looking for the next guy to throw over the cliff. The American public has reached a breaking point over the last few years, everyone that is an incumbent better say some prayers. Since the Dems outnumber the Repubs that should benefit the Repubs for the 2010 voter massacre.

The public is not going to lose focus on this one, if anything the determination is building. When the political class and media blew off the Tea Party visit to DC that was the straw that broke the back. Just like the terminator said “I’ll be back” is how I view the voting public after Brown getting elected in Mass. I have feeling the congress better start getting their retirement plans in place.

Correct. They're just looking for another way of getting it done. They're now going to be all about getting a "bi-partizan" solution to everything and the RHINOs will swallow it Hook Line and Sinker. Look for Graham, Lugar, McCain Snowe etc etc to opine that "we need to try and work with the President" to get a solution to this problem.

If they are going to shove socialist power grab of healthcare they need to do it before 2010 elections. Once people forget they will vote the nazi’s back in.

First of all, victory begets victory. The popular uprising will only grow from here.
Second of all, this is not going to be just about independents rising up. Democrats in vulnerable seats are already doomed. But now its about going after Dems in deep blue states too. The entire liberal agenda, after already inflicting maximum damage on Democrats, is now in full retreat. 0bama is as good as a lame duck now. His Progressive agenda is dead, and the failure of Democrats to advance it even with total power will dispirit the Left even more than they were last night. There will be depressed liberal turnout across the country in November because of what will happen starting now. We will be able to throw them out in places like California and New York now. That is Phase Two of the total destruction of 0bama and the Democrats.

The healthcare bill will remain in stasis. Benefits us and will send the Progressives into orbit by Summer. Ignore Pelosi’s chest thumping today, she is out of options as far as the House goes. The only play right now is nuclear in the Senate and that is unlikely. Get the popcorn as the rebellion begins, Obama put his marker down and he is on his own.

Do you think Snowe is oblivious to what happened in Mass.? There are no more “safe” states to be liberal in anymore.
