I was on my way home for vacation last year, right after Mumbai and took a taxi ride to the Oakland, CA airport from a gentleman who was originally from India, and we started talking about that incident.

He was incredulous that our intel agencies weren’t better at extracting information from terrorists we have caught. He basically told me that in India, the authorities would literally beat the h*** out of a captive, or whatever it took to obtain info. No Miranda, no squeamishness...

I wonder if this intel was obtained in this way.

It’s not really true.

The Indian government has already spent close to US$6.4 million for Ajmal Kasab’s trial circus, in spite of all the documented physical and videographic evidence available to grant him the death penalty.

Kasab, by the way, is the lone surviving Pakistani terrorist from the Mumbai attacks of 2008.
