“And here I was thinking that it was spiraling government debt that would bankrupt the country. Silly me.”

Exactly my thought. The only way health care will bankrupt the country is to have the government run it.

Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., who ushered the overhaul legislation through the Senate's health committee last year after the death of his friend, Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, said Obama and lawmakers could "maybe take a breather for a month, six weeks."

A ten month break sounds more reasonable to me. They deserve it.

But what I really want to know is, is Juan McCain reaching across the aisle yet to get things done on Obamacare? Some earlier threads indicated he might try.
