Ed Schultz Tells Robert Gibbs He's Full of (Obama) - Gibbs Responds With F-Bomb
Sunday, January 24, 2010 | Kristinn

Posted on 01/24/2010 9:41:09 AM PST by kristinn

(Note: MSNBC host Ed Schultz spoke last night at the Blue State Bash sponsored by KTNF-950AM held at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The Web site The Uptake posted a video report of his speech in which he relates an off-camera swearing match with White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.)

SNIP

Schultz: "I know this this (sic) of those being recorded but I wasn't told it was off the record but Mister Gibbs I had quite a conversation off the air the other night and I'm going to tell you I told him he was full of (Obama), is what I told him. I mean I did. and then he gave me that Dick Cheney F bomb the same way Senator Leahy got it on the senate (sic) floor. So I told Robert Gibbs, I said and I'm sorry you're swearing at me but, you know I'm just trying to help you out. I'm telling you you're losing your base.

"Do you understand that you're losing your base?

"And that the American people they don't want public option, the American people want single payer!"

YouTube video of Schultz's speech.

Air America Minnesota depends on donations from left wing owned businesses to survive and has dismal ratings. They have less of an audience then the latino speaking radio channel in the area. I suggest everybody go to the AAM website and make sure you aren’t purchasing from any of the companies that are supporting the left wing wackos on their station. Warner Stellian Appliances is one example of a supporter of this station. I won’t buy any appliances from them ever again.

Seems to me his punch lines didn’t excite the audience. We heard weak clapping. Also, at the end his yes we can he had to say it three times and still no one joined in that I could hear. What a dope he is. Notice how he had to ask the listeners to KEEP LISTENING. We don’t need to ask listeners to keep listening to Rush, Hannity, Glenn etc...we WANT to listen and Glenn’s show on Friday was awesome.

This article confused me. Does Robert Gibbs's anger mean he actually believes what he tells us?

"And that the American people they don't want public option, the American people want single payer!"

The danger is in equating one's own desires with that of "the American people." Some may agree with Mr Schultz, but the preponderance do not.

And .. how often did Cheney curse ..?? Once on the floor of the Senate - to a Senator who indeed deserved that comment and much more.

I’m sorry .. but sometime it’s necessary. In the movie when Harrison Ford stood up in front of the huge guy with a huge sword .. the curse word he used was the only word that worked .. and then he shot the guy.

So .. it’s only necessary when it’s necessary.

However, the liberals do seem to have an abundance of potty-mouthed people - Hillary is one of the worst.

I would do nothing to dispel the commonly-held notions of Mr. Schultz and his ilk. They are the very base of the modern Democrat Party, which has not only become ever-more explicitly socialist, but also dominated by radical gay activists, "Green" pinheads, union layabouts, trial lawyers, and other social undesirables.

They are collectively scaring the living bejeezus out of mainstream Americans of independent mind and steering them back toward the traditional center-right locus of American politics. So: rave on Keith Olbermann! Bring on more Maddow! Give Ed Schultz more open mike time - please; because America has become addicted to big government and needs to be scared straight.

Right you are. How ironic that about 12 months ago Jimmy Carville was declaring the GOP dead and pronouncing the beginning of a 40 yr Democratic majority. Politics is a fickle game and just when you think you have it figured out, you realize you don't know anything.

The ideal thing for Republicans would be if the Democrats actually do worry about pandering to the atheists, gold-chained union thugs, welfare grandmothers, abortion enthusiasts, condom-throwers, Boy Scout-hating lesbians, hand-wringing college professors, Hollywood drunks, and the rest of the parasites, losers, and goofballs who comprise the Democrat party “base”.

If you ever listened to Ed Schultz on the radio you would shake your head. He freely reverses positions on everything at will depending on the direction of the wind. Just a few days ago I heard him complaining that Obama never ran on single payer so it was a mistake to go down that road, yet then he turns around and blathers how much support there is for it.

Consistancy is never Ed’s middle name. He is in it (broadcasting progressive garbage) for the money and people around him know he doesn’t believe 10% of what he spews.

Let the socialists keep trying to nationalize the medical industry, it doesn't matter, because it will not stand, and all that is lacking is conservative leadership that has the guts to call that collection of socialist crook sex pervert baby killer trial lawyer trade unionist scum in the democrat party exactly what they are, and not let them hide behind "progressive" and "liberal".

"You are seeing today an all out attempt to marshal the forces of the opposition, using not merely the communists, or their fellow travelers-the deluded liberals, the eggheads, and some of my good friends in both the Democratic and Republican Parties who can become heros over night in the eyes of the left-wing press if they will just join with the jackal pack"

Blue State Bash

Just to give you an idea of how effin retarded our side is when it comes to PR and propaganda.

RED is the socialists banner, and is exactly the reason why the socialist press switched overnight after the Carter election and started calling the free states "Red" and the socialist states "Blue".

Early on, some channels used a scheme of red for Democrats and blue for Republicans. The first television news network to use colors to depict the states won by presidential candidates was NBC.

In 1976, John Chancellor, the anchorman for the NBC Nightly News, asked his network's engineers to construct a large electronic map of the USA. The map was placed in the network's election-night news studio. If Jimmy Carter, the Democratic candidate that year, won a state it would light up in red; if Gerald Ford, the Republican, carried a state it would light up in blue. The feature proved to be so popular that four years later all three major television networks would use colors to designate the states won by the presidential candidates on Election Night. NBC continued to use the color scheme employed in 1976 for several years; NBC newsman David Brinkley famously referred to the 1980 election map as showing Ronald Reagan's 44-state landslide as resembling a "suburban swimming pool".[6]

CBS, from 1984 on, used the opposite scheme: blue for Democrats, red for Republicans. ABC used yellow for one major party and blue for the other in 1976. However, in 1980 and 1984, ABC used red for Republicans and blue for Democrats. As late as 1996, there was still no universal association of one color with one party.[7] If anything, by 1996, color schemes were relatively mixed, as CNN, CBS, ABC, and The New York Times referred to Democratic states with the color blue and Republican ones as red, while Time Magazine and the Washington Post used an opposite scheme.[8][9][10]

In the days following the protracted 2000 election, major media outlets began conforming to the same color scheme because the electoral map was continually in view and conformity made for easy and instant viewer comprehension. On Election Night that year there was no coordinated effort to code Democratic states blue and Republican states red; the association gradually emerged. Partly as a result of this eventual and near-universal color-coding, the terms "red states" and "blue states" entered popular usage in the weeks following the 2000 presidential election. Journalists began to routinely refer to "blue states" and "red states," even before the 2000 election was settled.[citation needed]

After the results were final, journalists stuck with the color scheme, as the December 2001 The Atlantic's cover story by David Brooks entitled, "One Nation, Slightly Divisible" illustrated. Thus, red and blue became fixed in the media and in many people's minds,[11] despite the fact that no "official" color choices had been made by the parties.

So in effect the geniuses at the RNC allowed the socialist press to officially paint our side as REDS.

Good Lord, small wonder a san Francisco marxist is 2 heartbeats away from the presidency, a Kenyan marxist is President, and unemployment is through the roof with capital in full flight.

And someone ought to clue Limbaugh in, he had a caller ask a question about this and totally screwed the pooch.
