January 23, 2010 - by Marlo Lewis Page 1 of 2 Next ->On Thursday, Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), ranking member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, introduced a resolution of disapproval, under the Congressional Review Act (CRA), to overturn EPA’s endangerment finding (the agency’s official determination that greenhouse gas emissions endanger public health and welfare) . Murkowski’s floor statement and a press release are available here.

The resolution has 38 co-sponsors, including three Democrats (Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, Ben Nelson of Nebraska, and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana). If all 41 Senate Republicans vote for the measure, Sen. Murkowski will need only seven additional Democrats to vote “yes” to obtain the 51 votes required for passage. (Under Senate rules, a CRA resolution of disapproval cannot be filibustered and thus does not need 60 votes to ensure passage.)

I wonder how much dough we could save by abolishing the EPA?

And Jimmy Carter's Department of (no) Energy.

“At this moment, the EPA is hopelessly politicized. In the wake of Carol Browner, it is probably better to shut it down and start over. What we need is a new organization much closer to the FDA. We need an organization that will be ruthless about acquiring verifiable results, that will fund identical research projects to more than one group, and that will make everybody in this field get honest fast.” ~ Michael Crichton

EPA Administrator: ‘I’m trying to save the world’

EPA Administrator: ‘I’m trying to save the world’ @ 12:07 pm by Michael O’Brien

Newly-minted Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lisa Jackson is trying to “save the world,” she said Tuesday morning.

“I’m trying to save the world,” Jackson told CNN’s Elaine Quijano. “We’re all trying to save the world.”

Jackson, the first African-American to become EPA administrator, said that her agency is “back on the job” after the past eight years during the Bush administration.

“That’s not to meant to say that the employees who were here all along haven’t been working hard, but a lot of their work wasn’t allowed to come forth to the American people,” Jackson said.

Jackson, whose nomination was unanimously approved by the Senate, also spoke about her unique role as the first black administrator.

“What I hope I see at the end are this are activists who look like me,” she said, “activists who represent the future and demographic of our country because that’s who’s going to be the EPA in the future.”

Any law based on what clearly is fraud, is an embarrassment and should be repealed ASAP.

Now if we can just get Governor Dummkopf to do the same in California...

NASA said CO2 was not culprit to global anything..

Not true.

James Hansen has been very busy traveling the world protesting global warming. He's THE NASA member of the AGW fraud.

While on the US government payroll...

Under RICO, a person who is a member of an enterprise that has committed any two of 35 crimes—27 federal crimes and 8 state crimes—within a 10-year period can be charged with racketeering. Those found guilty of racketeering can be fined up to $250,000 and/or sentenced to 20 years in prison per racketeering count. In addition, the racketeer must forfeit all ill-gotten gains and interest in any business gained through a pattern of “racketeering activity.” RICO also permits a private individual harmed by the actions of such an enterprise to file a civil suit; if successful, the individual can collect treble damages.
