Berry: Obama said "big difference" between '10 and '94 is "me" (Our deluded Messiah)
politico ^ | 1/25/10 | glenn thrush

Posted on 01/25/2010 7:50:05 AM PST by milwguy

Berry recounted meetings with White House officials, reminiscent of some during the Clinton days, where he and others urged them not to force Blue Dogs “off into that swamp” of supporting bills that would be unpopular with voters back home.

“I’ve been doing that with this White House, and they just don’t seem to give it any credibility at all,” Berry said. “They just kept telling us how good it was going to be. The president himself, when that was brought up in one group, said, ‘Well, the big difference here and in ’94 was you’ve got me.’ We’re going to see how much difference that makes now.” [snip]

“I began to preach last January that we had already seen this movie and we didn’t want to see it again because we know how it comes out,” said Arkansas’ 1st District congressman, who worked in the Clinton administration before being elected to the House in 1996... "I just began to have flashbacks to 1993 and ’94. No one that was here in ’94, or at the day after the election felt like. It certainly wasn’t a good feeling.”

Can't wait for the SOTU speech on Wednesday to see the new 'populist' Obama. The man may be the best thing for the Republican brand since Jimmy Carter.

####

True.

But first Republicans themselves must seize, define and expound on the conservative-across-the-board brand, THEMSELVES.

There’s a big difference all right.

Obama is a big nothing.

As in zero, nada.

His head contains nature’s most complete vacuum.

Even quantum particles refuse to appear and disappear in that vast area of nothingness, vapidness, and stupidness.

Right.

Several Republican senators, including Reach-across-the-aisle McCain, just this weekend have been espousing compromise and a new comprehensive health bill, etc. They just don't seem to learn.

Absolutely! Narcissists NEVER see themselves as the problem. It’s ALWAYS someone or something else. This Pres..ent is out of his gourd. That being said, I hope he stays until 2012. Otherwise we will have Biden as Pres..ent and Hillary! as Vice. The Dems would go toward the middle and the sheeple would start drinking the Dem Kool-aid again. Sigh.

This reminds me of Llyod Bentson’s famous line in his debate with Dan Quayle.

What Berry should have said to Barry was “Excuse me you narcissistic SOB, I was there is 94 with Clinton, and dumba$$, you are no Bill Clinton”

The blue dogs are either retiring or fleeing Obama/Pelosi like the plague. They know now that not only can’t Obama protect them from the voters’ wrath, but his ego is so big that he actually believes Obamacare, cap&trade, card check, immigration reform, and bloated stimulus plans will be winners this coming November.

You are mistaken. The “willingness to work together” talking point from the GOP is an election year strategy so that the MSM cannot brand us as the party of “NO.” We are not going to let Pelosi and Reid off the hook after being treated like bastard stepchildren for 12 months. We want to keep the heat on the RATS inability to govern, notwithstanding overwhelming majorities they enjoy in both chambers. It is also important that we appear calm and reasonable for the mass of independents.

Our President is obviously a physically powerful man. How else could he keep from staggering under the weight of that massive ego?

WHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I love it when a plan comes together.

For all you McCainiacs out there, and those who voted for him, notice who will be blamed now, rather than the same scenario with a supposed "conservative" at the helm with the same circumstances.

This was predicted early on by the most Conservative folks on this board... to include this humble poster. Standing on principle serves it's purpose, once again. Even in loss, it is *not* loss.

BOHICA You RINOs and progressives! You communist bastards! I laugh heartily, and fart in your general direction!

I used to work for a sociopath like Hussein.

She insisted that any legitimate criticism of her was due to "jealousy."

One day, five of her long-time employees (including me) just walked out without notice, never to return.

It didn't make the slightest impact on her psyche, because we were all "jealous" you see.

It is great to be back in Connecticut. It is an honor to be here with and for your outstanding senator, my great friend, Chris Dodd. (Applause.) Now, here's the general rule of politics: When you're ...President you're not supposed to pick favorites. But I have a confession to make. From the moment I arrived in the United States Senate, Chris Dodd was one of my favorites. (Applause.) And contrary to what Chris thinks, it's not his good looks -- (laughter) -- Jackie may like that, that doesn't move me. (Laughter.)

Hello, Connecticut! Obama stumps for troubled pal Sen. Chris Dodd after the same for Deval Patrick
