We need to find a *lot* of new candidates on all levels - local, state and national. That is the most effective thing the Tea Parties can do. Then the pubbies can support our candidates or die a whimpering death of impotent irrelevancy.

They tried and tried to ignore us and pretend we did not exist, but they're not ignoring us now. And there's gonna be hell to pay this November. The Tea Party has declared war on the political ruling class and, IMHO, it will be an effective war.

The protests got America’s attention, although with little and misreported coverage. The true power of the Tea Parties/912 groups are in the grassroots political activism. That is what is getting the policitians’ attention. We must continue and push harder. Never, never quit.

BTW, if anyone is going to be in central NC the weekend before tax day, I’m in the process of organising another Tax Day Tea Party this year, for that Saturday before!

By the looks of all the RAT heads spinning, yes it is effective.
They are taking a two front assualt to us. First, they are playing nice and acting like they have our concerns at heart but then again like in the AZ Senate race, they are trying to split the TP groups by making false and misleading claims about the TP favorites.

I agree. And what the Tea Parties and the townhalls didn’t accomplish, the left leadership did, with their unabashed contempt for Americans, which they put on full display while criticizing the tea parties, you know, patriotic Americans.
That's what our ancestors did with tyrants back in their day, and the damn democrats should be glad that We The People haven't taken such appropriate measures (yet).
They would be wise to STOP intentionally destroying our beloved Country.
Were the Tea Parties effective??
Yes and No.
It got both political parties attention and got people like myself,who had NEVER protested before,involved.
But they should have been held in the front lawn of EVERY politician who voted for these stupid bailouts and silly stimulus proposals.
In Texas, we should have been in Kay Bailouts front lawn and Lloyd Dogetts backyard.

The Left always lets you know of whom they are most afraid. Sarah Palin and the Tea “Baggers”. They demean and dehumanize them incessantly. If they were not afraid, they would ignore them. The Tea Party phenomena has the left in a thumb-sucking tizzy...................
Their first inclination is to ignore, then to denigrate us as racists. Now that they can neither ignore us, nor denigrate blue state citizens who had previously voted for Obama as racist, they are going to become very, very dangerous.
Obama has never had anyone tell him no, nor do anything but supplicate before him, and the “progressives” are not going to just sit back and watch their best chance in 50 years for totalitarian state control slip through their fingers.
The next 3 years are going to harder than the first. And they have a couple of tillion of our dollars in a slush fund to guarantee that it gets ugly and expensive for anyone that doesn’t go along with their plans.
