Like someone posted earlier, O’Keefe may have something on someone already. If he showed up at Landreau’s office he already knew something was up. A little talking with someone on the Senator’s staff could really help him.
If the charges are true, and I have considerable doubts, we have to remember that the dear Senator is an unindicated felon who threatened to murder President Bush during hurricane Katrina...
Also, she sold her vote on Obamacare.
I’d say darling Mary has committed enough felonies for about a ten year prison sentence.
he states he was waiting for someone and the media have tried to get them convicted as some on here have.
We have no idea if he were to do an interview and told to wait there and then he gets banged for this as a set up.
and no I would not put it past the feds or anyone else seeing as the black racists got off with no statements
It says “O’KEEFE and DAI have also admitted to federal agents that worked with FLANAGAN and BASEL in the planning, coordination, and preparation of the operation.” That doesn’t say they admitted to anything. Furthermore, why would he admit something like that without lawyering up. This stinks like a 4 day old fish and should be tossed out with extreme prejudice.
Does anyone else think this is kinda odd? He wouldn't have been able to use what he found anyway without getting busted. So way bother? It just doesn't make sense.
Well, reading that, it sounds like O’Keefe wasn’t even involved.
It doesn’t say he admitted anything. Read it again.
how do we know he was waiting for someone and told to wait ion that office as a set up or maybe he was doing this tap.
we have no idea so lets not all jump to conclusions and to think many state on here to not trust the media or the white house and now this comes along with have about half on here condemning the mam already
Possibly its a frameup as well. Lets hope the FBI doesnt succeed in pulling off a fast one.
Don't forget that Breitbart said thare were more ACORN videos coming. It wouldn't surprise me if this was found to be a preemptive strike by the ACORNs in office prior to November.
When you embarrass a dictator, the dictator makes you impersonate phone company employees with the goal of bugging the official US Government-funded office of a US Senator? Sorry, this looks pretty indefensible to me.
Letton is the one who put away Edwin Edwards and a bunch of other Louisiana politicians.
| > I will too! ANYTHING coming out of New Orleans, especially
> Landrieus office is suspicious!
I suspect a set-up, too.
Regardless, I see these guys as patriots.
The same FBI that “caught” them is run by Obama’s Justice Department - Eric Holder. He isn't going to investigate the corruption within our government. In fact, he helps to cover it up.
The MSM should be "watching out for us", but they're too busy schilling Obama talking points. There was a time that they conducted ambushes and stings to show the public how elected leaders were cheating the People. Journalists abuse their First Amendment protections to promote their own political agenda, more so now than in decades past.
These four guys and others like them are exposing government corruption. They're doing the job that the Justice Department and the MSM should be doing.
They deserve our support, not our disdain.
he asks for an interview or he is called for one.
he is told to wait on that office and next minute the feds coming running in that quick.
something fishy about all of this
I don’t have a way to copy a PDF file and now I can’t get back into the site through my link...don’t know what’s up.
he asks for an interview or he is called for one.
he is told to wait in that office and next minute the feds coming running in that quick.
something fishy about all of this
Letton’s allegations should be accepted as fact. Save the expense of a trial!
The alternative is to **GASP** question his integrity!
Yep. If they try to prosecute him for this, I should think he would be within his rights to subpoena all of Landrieu’s appointment records, and maybe quite a lot more. Senatorial privilege you say? Fine, but I don’t see how you persecute someone if you won’t show the records.
What the democrats know is that the mainstream media will RUN with this story with great glee and gusto. Then later, even if the ‘facts’ weren’t exactly right, well too bad. The ‘gotcha’ guy has already been tarnished by the first report. Kind of like what they did with Sarah Palin. Paint her as dumb hick hockey mom from backwoods Alaska then make her re-claim her reputation.
Let’s see what Breitbart reports.
so you know he did do this becasue of what?
because the media have twisted this or have you thought maybe this was a set up which would not put past this white house or ACORN
the feds were quick to get there wasn’t they and why 4 people to tap a phone.
maybe he asked for an interview or he was waiting to do one and told to wait on the room and this happens
you really think after all the heat he got that this smart guy would just tap a phone?
The only thing I can think of is that they were making a film about the Senator’s phone systems, with the fake phone repairmen there as props, in order to make a point about the Senator’s office never answering the phone when angry constituents call — ie the phones must be “broken”.
That’s the only halfway innocent explanation I can think of.
“It wouldnt surprise me if this was a setup.”
Of course it is a setup as it is so easy to take four innocent men, entice them to dress up as telephone repairmen, enter a US Senator’s office and attempt to work on the phone lines.
I’m sure things like this happen everyday.
Heck, for all we know they called him in and it was a set up. ACORN isn't too happy with the guy. If they can't beat him, they'll destroy him.
I'll wait until I hear his side of the story to make sure I don't knee jerk this incident. Something just doesn't sound right somewhere. He seems smarter than that.
Now if it had been 60 Minutes bugging a Republican, that would’ve got them another Emmy. But this guy’s a villian? Riiiiiiiight.
It's bad form for a fed to leave out words.
O'KEEFE and DAI have also admitted to federal agents that [they] worked with FLANAGAN and BASEL in the planning, coordination, and preparation of the operation.
That's where things like facts and details just get in the way of the seriousness of the charges.
“Not much of a set-up here as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana Jim Letten is a Republican and was appointed to his job by President George W. Bush.
Letten has down a great job in Louisiana in taking down corrupt politicians of both parties”
We shall see.
Like I said before, if the people who arrested O’Keefe & company don’t have every “i” dotted and every “t” crossed they are going to get some serious career wrecking incoming rounds from the patriot side of the street.
The country is in no mood for Leftard frame ups.
You didn’t read the article. It never says he impersonated a phone company employee, so back down.
This is hard to believe....
Not at all.
Place the four on trial in Orleans Parish and we will see what a jury of their peers decides after hearing all of the evidence.
seems to me the real question is.....
is she the first they have attempted to “tap”??
Have they successfully tapped others???
I bet the Dems are scrambling and checking phone lines like crazy....
too bad the ones in the conference rooms where the “smokey back room” deals/threats were made weren’t bugged...or were they??? Hmmmmm....hahahhaha....
Smells fishy to me....
a witness was there
the feds were quick to be there
he knows the spot light is on him already and seems smart to not do this.
it does not take 4 people to tap a phone.
how about us all waiting to find out what happened, aren’t we always saying how we do not trust the MSM and the white house.
how about he went to do an interview as that what journo’s do and he was set up after the ACORN incident which the left said they would get him
to think cripple some have just jumped right on this and said idiot, o no etc, I’d hate them to be on my jury.
Will a jury of his peers all have FEMA debit cards to use in the court house lunchroom?
And that will be up to an Orleans Parish jury made up of the fine citizens of New Orleans.
You can’t add words. It doesn’t include the word “they”. This is an affadavit for prosecuting someone.
How dare you!?!
Why...such a trial questions the integrity of the great James Letten! Good luck with that theory.
LOL! Get this idea to his lawyers, pronto!
it does not take 4 people to tap a phone at all
"BigGovernment's editors tell me the site had no clue that O'Keefe was doing this."
Michell Malkin's Take: Not Good.
Something about this story is weird. The FBI guy says he ALLEDGEDLY aided and abetted. HOW??????
That’s where things like facts and details just get in the way of the seriousness of the charges.
I noticed that as well. The only thing the agent had on O’Keefe was that he was present in the Senator’s office and was recording the incident. Since when was that a crime? This affair stinks to high heaven! It looks like a Leftard frame up to me,
Those FEMA cards were used a long time ago.
I want to see the video that O’Keefe got.
If he filmed himself breaking the law that will be enough for me.
The sentence fails to parse without the
they. Can they get it tossed because it doesn't parse? Or will the feds just amend it?
Obama has nominated a replacement U.S. Attorney, Stephanie Finley, on the recommendation of Sen. Landrieu. If confirmed by the Senate, Finley will replace former U.S. Attorney Donald Washington, who was appointed by President George W. Bush in September 2001.
Washington announced his resignation Jan. 7. His last day in office was Monday.First Assistant U.S. Attorney William J. Flanagan is serving as interim U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Louisiana.
Maybe they’re in a hurry to get his dad out. Back in the day (1963), the New Orleans office of the FBI was in the same building as the local headquarters of the New Orleans mob.
That said, it looks plausible (the news reports).
If you have the proper equipment and expertise you don't even need to be in the building.
Don't ask how I know
