Clinton suggests a single term at State (Running for Pres. in 2012)
Politico ^ | January 27, 2010 | Ben Smith

That's how Laura Rozen reads this exchange with Tavis Smiley:

TAVIS SMILEY: Finally, there’s already speculation about whether or not Secretary Clinton is going to do this for the full first time, and whether or not she has any interest if asked to stay on to do it for eight years? You see how tough the job is, can you imagine yourself doing all four years and, if asked, doing it for another four years?

HILLARY CLINTON: No, I really can’t. I mean, it is just…

TAVIS SMILEY: No to what? All four or eight?

HILLARY CLINTON: The whole, the whole eight, I mean, that that would be very challenging. But I, you know, I don't wanna make any predictions sitting here, I’m honored to serve, I serve at the pleasure of the President, but it’s a, it’s a 24/7 job, and I think at some point, I will be very happy to pass it on to someone else.

Another self proclaimed Progressive running for President? Democrats would be fools to fall behind her.

Hillary v THE ONE in the 2012 Donk primaries.... Popcorn time...

I don't think THE ONE's staff sending dead fish to the Clinton staff will do any good. Bubba will just view it as a snack, and fry them. Rhamm Emmanuel shouldn't go down that path...

I wasn’t aware of a “term” for Secretaries of State.

I’d be shocked if Hillary ran in 2012. I know this kind of speculation is always diverting and has a big market due to the legion of rabid Hillary fans, but she has to know that challenging Obama for the nomination would split the Rat party and ensure her defeat, even if she somehow got the nomination. That said, it’s good fun, so have at it!

0bambi is splitting the Dem Party by going so hard to the left and by frequently saying he’d be fine with one term. That’s not how politics is played. Both parties want to hold the WH as long as possible and that is best done by taking advantage of incumbency and getting that second term for the Pres. 0baMao has to be really chafing Dem Party arses with his “above it all” talk.

The population would be REALLY STUPID to think Hillary! would govern very differently from Zero. That being said, the majority of the voters were stupid enough to vote for Zero.

Depending on how far aground Obama has run his ship, there might just be a call for Hil to come sailing to the rescue in 2012 by fellow Dems. She’s not as stupid as Urkel, which probably makes her even more dangerous.

“staff sending dead fish”

And i love when Rham pretends he’s a mobster. The dead fish, the ball bat, the foul language at inappropriate times, stabbing a dinner table with a steak knife.

The truth is, he’s a gay ballerina, acting a part he sees in movies,,,, is there the slightest evidence he has ever been in a fight? Ordered someone murdered? Throw a punch? Rham is just acting like what he THINKS looks manly. It’s so gay.

Anyone remember that Hillary was one easy step from the White House a year before the election, and no one doubted she’d get it? Obama literally came from nowhere as a challenger - at most, he was just going to use the campaign to get in the public eye before being tapped for her VP. Between them, they could sew up the female/black votes while McCain RINO-sabotaged the Republican opposition.

Obama’s “machine” was a huge percentage of the Hillary machine that abandoned her suddenly and mysteriously, before her sure win for the presidency - and for what? To have a neophyte screw up a 40 year agenda instead of letting a sure, tested, ruthless Leftist leader make sure it was done properly, without vulnerabilities like (of all things) birth certificates to worry about?

Hillary’s problem is not Obama. It’s whatever made her machine abandon her at the last moment, after decades of preparation. And that problem hasn’t gone away. In fact it’s much worse for her now, because she doesn’t forgive betrayal and can never convince it (her machine) she would. So it knows she’s got to keep losing, if it wants to survive - and it already stopped her once, when she was supposedly unstoppable. Now, she’s too old, too linked with Obama’s failed agenda, and too much of a failure.

In short, she’s over.

You’re quite right. BO is PO’ing Dems with his rhetoric about “postpartisan” politics, and by distancing himself from them. Even the uberweasel Billy Jeff waited until after the 1994 midterm massacre to do that. I bet 0’s “one term” talk is self-serving, a phony high-mindedness calculated to help him get reelected, but it does other Dems no good at all.
