Obama: "That means building a new generation of safe, clean nuclear power plants in this country. It means making tough decisions about opening new offshore areas for oil and gas development."

So, rather than accepting that present nuclear power technology is safe enough to use he holds out for a ‘new generation’. By his standards that new generation may never arrive and, therefore, will not be implemented under his presidency.

And he did not advocate for offshore drilling. He said we have to make tough decisions about offshore drilling. The ‘tough decision’ is, “Gee, I'm sorry, it might not be politically expedient, but I am going to make the tough call and continue to forbid offshore drilling.”

As usual, his language is Orwellian.

To continue your thought from above: Notice that these “key words” created the Graham's support for cap and Tax: Stating he will support new nukes and drill offshore. But will his administration's actions match the words that subverted Graham?
