As far as I know, Scalia and Thomas were not there.

If they were, I have no doubt they would have walked out.
That would have made my year...

I guess it didn’t cross Feingold’s mind that the President of the United States publicly claimed that the actions of of the USSC would cause campaign finance laws to broken.

And it further didn’t cross his mind that there are currently a LOT of very specific laws on the books that prohibit foreigners from contributing to campaigns.

And I’m pretty sure it didn’t occur to Feingold that Alito KNEW that the President’s statement was very clearly incorrect, and that the constitutional law professor president knew it, also.

Is this asshole's seat in play?

Yes, he's up for re-election this year. We're stuck with Kohl for a couple more years. That's not too bad 'cuz he never does anything (he's rather like the "door mouse" at the Mad Hatter's tea party, he just snoozes through the sessions).

Regards,
GtG

It was McCain/Foolsgold legislation that was dealt a severe blow not the Constitution. If you have friends in Wisconsin call them and tell for Governor Tommy Thompson to run against him this year and that would be the best shot to get rid of FoolsGold.

Only nine more months from next uesday to vote them out.

We must make every day count from now until Nov. 2nd.

Democrats are the enemy of freedom, and Obama is not a natural born citizen, thus ineligible to be POTUS.

They all must go in November, and my hope is that this closet Muslim Marxist President in Name Only (PINO) is impeached or removed by then as well.

The survival of our nation is at stake. This community organizer is not fit to lead this country.

So now we have the ruling party threatening another branch of our government.
Bring on the gulags.

Alito ought to make a public statement. When you're chided by the President in a SOTU, totally inappropriate and downright rude, he ought to respond. Now he's been attacked by Feingold, who was a party to the legislation

I HATE the way our side always sits silent while the despots berate and abuse us. It's the single biggest thing I resent Bush for, was always slinking around letting the left aim their kicks at him...and by extension, us.

Please read the article linked on the joint statement on the Senate Health care bill by Richard Gephardt and Thompson.

It says that the legislation is an important step towards a goal of health care reform and not reaching that goal this year is “not an acceptable option”.

http://prescriptions.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/10/05/former-bush-health-secretary-thompson-endorses-the-senate-finance-bill/

And if you keep reading the article says that the democrats reached out to republican governors to look for support for their bill. Getting support from governors is more difficult because the bill will cost states more for medicare. It’s a hard sell in this economic climate.

The article further states that obtaining the endorsement of a well-known former governor will help the dems win further support and reassure moderate lawmakers that this is a bi-partisan bill.

I think Tommy Thompson needs to looked at a bit closer before jumping on the Tommy bandwagon. It’s not a minor issue. I am beginning to think that many people are not aware of his endorsement and need to be informed of such. I’m doing my best to spread the word.

“...talk about “inappropriate”, how about the Punk In Chief insulting the court members”...and the congressional dems offering a standing ovation was just as inappropriate.

Soetoro/Obama OWNS the SCOTUS -- he can say whatever he chooses say.
Photobucket
With several eligibility cases before the SCOTUS in January 2009, an unprecedented private meeting was held with SCOTUS and the POS-elect and his doofus running mate, days before the inauguration.

Unfortunately when people ignorant of the Constitution grow up, they become Democratic lawmakers...and that’s no joke.

So I guess it’s ok to politicize the judicial branch of government, huh?

These people are clueless. Or blinded by their socialism. Or both.
