Posted on 01/28/2010 6:44:26 PM PST by Nachum
Today is the day that I have been invited to go on MSNBC for the very first time. At no point during the ACORN story was I put on the hot seat to defend the work of James OKeefe. My thesis from day one has been that the mainstream media is biased in favor of the left and MSNBC is its most obvious case study.
So when MSNBC led the charge on Tuesday against James OKeefe when he and three others were arrested in New Orleans at Senator Landrieus office, it came as no surprise that the cable network seized upon a narrative that presumed OKeefes guilt, falsely extrapolated that he was being charged with felony wiretapping and instantaneously coined and repeated endlessly the new buzz phase, Watergate Jr.

If you see Keef Olberman punch the publicity whore in the mouth for me.
Shuster is despicable, but a basic reality is that TV people lie like this all the time if they think it necessary to get you on the air.
Rush’s theory is that O’Keefe et al were in Landrieu’s office to film her staff not answering phone calls from her constituents, so they could avoid hearing what they had to say and later claim that a faulty phone system kept her from responding to citizens’ complaints - probably not too bright, but not illegal......
10 years, huh? Did you get the secret MSNBC memo detailing the actual charges? If so, please share!
I don’t think what they did is any worse than the countless journalists who brought fake guns and boxcutters on board airplanes to show how bad security was. Mary Landrieu is not a Queen. She is a public servant. A public servant who has been deliberately avoiding the angry calls of her constituents. Has the FBI never seen “Punked” or “Jackass”? These charges should be dropped ASAP.
Ah, you have the memo or police reports showing they went somewhere other than publicly accessible places? You know, where any constituent could go? Great, share those!
Or is impersonating a utility worker a felony with a 10 year sentence? Man, those costume shops on Halloween are creating tons of felons!
Oh, wait, “manipulated” a phone, which is a fancy way of saying “picked it up” or “touched it.” Off with their heads!
And they had listening devices, aka cell phones. Felons!
Did they get access to anywhere off limits? Plant any bugs? Not from what I’ve read.
From what I’ve read, Landrieu and her mediawhores have jumped the shark badly. Now, if further facts come out showing O’Keefe et al did get access to private spaces under false pretense, did have a real bug on them, did more than picked up a phone, etc, then they are (a) stupid and (b) deserve to be prosecuted. That said, if you filter out the media hyperbole - including stuff that even MSNBC (!!!) reprimanded Obermoron’s sub for - there is no evidence of any of that out there.
Do you have a source for that other than your butt?
“...if they were AQ or Chinese ...”
She would have serviced them.....
You sure are opinionated for a fool with it’s head planted in it’s own a$$!
Wake up! your bias is destroying your credibility.
Perhaps their intent was to show the level of security at the offices of someone to do with homeland security. If so, they succeeded in showing how far our enimies could go. I suspect they never touched anything and the matter will be quietly disposed of if I am correct. On the other hand, if I am wrong and they simply went crazy, then to jail they go. But initially, I don’t think O’Kefe is that stupid...Thoughts?
Oh yes, let’s by no means shine the light of day on what these criminal cockroaches are doing, let’s protect them at all costs!
Wait a minute! Wait a minute! Slow down a little. Let's get the FACTS FIRST before you convict and hang them. OK? The media couldn't possibly be a little "biased" now, could they? Or, are you part of that media? (By part, I mean, supportive.)
Updates on O’keefe.
And do you think that Maryland should prosecute Okeefe and Giles for the “Illegal” filming of ACORN? DO you think that Holder should go after Okeefe and Breitbart on RICO charges, as some leftist pundits and federal prosecutors would like to do? (Extortion and blackmail)...
Feel sorry for Okeefe. He has a big target on his back.
Updates on O’keefe.
I’m referring to the criminal politicians when I say criminal cockroaches (no offense intended to any cockroach-americans by the comparison to politicians).
Someone’s got to expose these criminals because the lame media no longer cares to do anything except enable and coverup for the political criminals.
wow, that Schuster is really a twerp.
I didn’t realize that Comcast has gone thru with the NBC deal..
...and you know what?? We have a LITTLE more power over MSNBC now since we have to PAY so much for cable access...
I propose that we all demand that comcast REMOVE all access to MSNBC from our cable boxes...not just “We block it” from our homes, but that they REMOVE it from our transmissions.
Thanks for the ping. Been up since 3:30AM to be at work by 5AM so my mind is ready for sleep at this point, so I will not attempt to analyze and respond on this one.
you never have to answer me, unless I am DEMANDING ANSWERS!!!!! :0
Have a great upcoming day. With that I am signing off.
MS- DNC is just one step away from professional wrestling.
I thought it was obvious that’s how you meant your comment
well it was to me anyway
some folks are a bit “quick on the draw” around here
How about- American Idol rejects?
Yeah. How about that.
You make it sound like they were beating people up or something. These nefarious "means" you speak of...sounds like there isn't much there.

LOL. I’m finding it hard to think of any comparisons that don’t leave Shuster & co. at a severe disadvantage
Micro Soft’s National Barack Channel?
I can’t believe that Breitbart was this naive.
You answered your implied question when you put "news" in quotes.
Oh, whew! I thought you were talking about James. Sorry.
Have you actually seen her field office? I have. It is tiny storefront. They take constituent calls and do community action, and presumably collect cash bribes. she doesn't ever work there.
?! The were on the tenth floor of the Hale Boggs Federal Building in New Orleans. Not what I would call a “tiny storefront”.
