Jury Finds Man Guilty of Murder in Kansas Abortion Provider’s Death

WICHITA, Kan. — A man who said he killed prominent Kansas abortion provider Dr. George Tiller in order to save the lives of unborn children was convicted Friday of murder.

The jury deliberated for just 37 minutes before finding Scott Roeder, 51, of Kansas City, Mo., guilty of premeditated, first-degree murder in the May 31 shooting death.

“That is not relevant to the failure of justice in this case; a different jury would have been equally unable to give him the death penalty under Kansas’ soft-on-crime regime.”

True, which is why Roeder did his heroic act of killing the mass murderer that the state would not...

So were the Nazi concentration camp guards and officers...but, it was recognized by the world that Natural Law transcends national law and that the Right to Life is universal. Hence, the Nazi’s violated a higher law and were able to be prosecuted for committing what was otherwise a legal act (in their country). Our nation’s shame is not in recognizing the violation of law being done everyday in the bowels of abortion clinics killing millions of babies every year.

As I understand it, heroes do not flee the scene of their heroics as Roeder elected to do and a hero would have pled guilty.

However, you may want to mark January 29, 2035 on your calender as that will likely be the day that your hero Scott has his first encounter with a parole board.

Perhaps, you can go to that parole hearing and say a few good words for Scott, but my guess is that the parole board will reject Roeder’s request.

That is an illogical response. You presume that knowing what is morally correct guarantees the willingness and capability to sacrifice oneself. You probably do not have that trait, not many do. Roeder is a rare, unselfish individual who put the lives of others above his own. There will always be cowards who hide behind “approved opinion” and even blast those who have the decency to stand up and say what is true. You are just one of many who fall into that sad position.

It looks like you are insinuating that judges and elected officials that have promoted abortion should be put on trial for genocide.

Well, you understand it wrong. Roeder is a hero, he brought justice to a mass murderer, what have you done lately?

So I assume that you do not agree with my view that live begins at conception and an abortion even in the first few days a pregnancy is as evil as an abortion that takes place seven months into a pregnancy?

Therefore, the actions of Tiller are no worse than an abortionist who performs first trimester abortions, a doctor who implants an IUD, a pharmacist who doles out abortion pills to women and women who have abortions, take abortion pills or have an IUD.

What exactly is your view?

Do you believe that a baby is more of a baby at 24 hours gestation than it is at seven months gestation?

Yes, you are correct in that mass murder of the unborn in legal in this country, and there have been many of elected officials and Jurists who have protected the practice of abortion.

Among those are, the presidents who have appointed Justices to the SCOTUS since Roe.

Interestingly, of the 12 Justices that have been appointed the the SCOTUS since 1973, nine of those Justices have been appointed by Republican presidents and Roe still stands.

And of course, George W. Bush's FDA approved the Plan B Abortion Pill for over the counter sales.

Are the past seven presidents since Roe also guilty of genocide?

Abortion comes from the devil.

To take a child's life shortly before it's 1st breath (you probably know Tiller was a late term exterminator, as is a buddy of his who rattled on in a rather demented way in an interview today) is indeed a heinous sin and a crime against humanity. I will not grieve his death, but I won't glorify Roeder's actions either.

I don't know if his attorney tried a temporary insanity plea, or if it would have been a waste, seeing as Roeder seemed quite lucid and unrepentent.

FWIW, I believe that Satan clouded his judgment once his grief at the lives lost overwhelmed him.

Had Mr Roeder been able to keep his wits about him, there are other ways to permanently restrain the baby killer, such as disabling the hands that had killed so many. They would be a constant reminder that our bodies are on loan while we live by the grace of God, and hands that perform Satan's work can be as easily taken back by He who created them.

It would still be a sin, but it wouldn't be a win for Satan, and it would have given Tiller the rest of his life to repent, which would have served to weaken the beast.

This note has a great deal of speculation, as I was not there or a mind reader - I don't rule out Roeder having a vision and sacrificing himself so that God's Will be done, neither do I propose it.

I pray this was His Will, and that He brings Understanding, Contemplation, and Healing, as far as this news travels.

I agree with you completely. Satan just wants death, death, and more death. He's laughing himself silly that Roeder has to pay the ultimate price and stay in prison for the rest of his life, all for killing a man that was doing the devil's work to being with. It's a win-win for the devil; even in the case of Tiller's soul, because a man shot at point-blank range like that probably didn't get the opportunity to convert, so actually it's a potential win-win-win for Satan. And abortion "lives" on ...

The devil will, however, eventually lose ... and I hope I'm around to witness that glorious day!
