Many of us are glad that he made such iconic movies for the world as well, hopefully he isn’t finished yet.
The world will always have “Passion of the Christ” long after Mel is gone.
Mel gibson has been one of my favorite actors/directors until he made that assinine statement. I am sad to see that he is nothing more than another destructive socialist. He is off my list of actors to patronize.
He is a Natural Born American Citizen. Isn't that a bit more?
You’re not telling me the Democrat congress had a hand in it, are you?
Why is it that I never hear anyone—even on our side—point out the fact that we had a handover of power after the 2006 elections and then everything went to hell? Sean Bob just lets it go when a guest lays it all on Bush.
I stand reminded.
I sit unanswered.
American born Mel Gibson and star of the greatest, most authentic (therefore) most patriotic, Vietnam War film ever made.
Barbra Streisand has recorded some beautiful songs too, but that’s no reason not to “diss” her on FR.
I sit unanswered.
I don’t know why that posted again so many minutes after the first one. Not my doing.
He’s not treated as a leper because he made a film about Jesus. He’s treated as a leper because he hates Jews more than Hitler did!
Barbara Streisand nor anyone else has ever made such a great film of Jesus Christ.
Or as I said “The world will always have Passion of the Christ long after Mel is gone.”
The move against Mel came before the film was even completed enough to start reviewing it.
The Passion of the Christ turned Hollywood, the media, and the left, against Mel Gibson.
“Mel Gibson urgently needs to keep 100% focused on fixing Mel Gibson.”
Prior to his drunk driving incident, Mel had been sober for many years.
He slipped, got into trouble; but since then he has been sober for over 3 years. Many alcoholics have had similar patterns.
He hasn’t made excuses, blamed others. He has become a top-flight movie man. Acting, directing and producing (producing means putting up money).
On balance, he comes up on the positive side, for me. He made “The Passion of Christ” which was a risky move.
I don’t know your definition of “fixed” or “fixing” for him. Mine would be “sober” which he has been most of a long time.
On the political side, a man doesn’t make movies like “Braveheart”, “The Patriot” and “The Passion of Christ” and be a lunatic liberal.
Mel Gibson is one of the greatest filmmaking talents of his generation. “Braveheart” - “The Patriot” - “We Were Soldiers” - “The Passion” - “Apocalypto.” Tremendous stuff.
He is said to be working on a Viking movie now. I bet it will be tremendous.
“He is said to be working on a Viking movie now. I bet it will be tremendous.”
I read they will use some “Olde Norse” language, which would continue the movie making style of “..Passion..” and “Apocolypto.”
Olde Norse was somewhat similar to Olde English. I hope they use subtitles, because it will not be understandable to us English speakers.
You forgot the part about him wrecking things first, Mel.
His latest film is about a murderous defense contractor.
