CNN spiked a hot story on Sunday. But if their plan was to keep a lid on a heated and unflattering Christiane Amanpour interview, it didnt quite work out. Christiane Amanpour interviewed author Marc Thiessen about his hot new book, Courting Disaster: How the CIA Kept America Safe and How Barack Obama Is Inviting the Next Attack last Wednesday, January 20. But Thiessen turned the tables on Amanpour and instead confronted her about her biased reporting.
The show broadcast to CNNs international audience, as planned. The piece was then to air in the large U.S. market Sunday. However, it appears that after Thiessen firmly called out CNNs star reporter for spreading mistruths about enhanced interrogation, one of her pet issues, the network opted to not air the show at all in the United States.
Heres where the story gets interesting. Fox News Channel then grabbed the CNN video clips off YouTube and aired parts of the revealing interview on its two top rated shows, "The OReilly Factor" and "Hannity." The net effect was that parts of the interview were seen domestically by more than ten times the number who would have seen it had the show simply aired on CNN alone.
No doubt CNN would argue the Sunday airing was bumped by more pressing news, including Haiti, and that argument might normally fly, except that Haiti had already happened when Amanpour interviewed Thiessen, yet at the time the shows producers had no problem guaranteeing that the interview would air on Sunday. It seems their decision changed after they saw the actual interview.

Too funny.
“Courting Disaster”
Isn’t that what is already happening?
Didn’t we very nearly lose an airline at Christmas???
"Yes" = Will get my vote
"No" = Will join obamao in his cell at Gitmo
"Not Certain" = Will get RINO-restoration coupon for free reattachment of certain body parts.
No, just one aircraft.

The interesting part to me was that Ms. Amanpour used the following wording, “water torture” .. not “water boarding”, and there is a world of difference between the two. I believe some countries use water torture, and this was the info Ms. Amanpour used to denounce America.
But .. AMERICA DOES NOT USE WATER TORTURE! We have used water boarding (on 3 people) WITH GREAT SUCCESS. The mastermind of 9/11 babbled like a brook when they used it on him.
I was glad to see Ms. Amanpour get her due.
Wow...Mark Thiessens message on that Hannity clip needs to be sounded all across America. Chilling what Obama and cronies are doing to unprotect the nation from terrorists.
Way to go, Fox!!! LOVE IT!!!
I sure won’t be watching that sick bitch!
Having experienced water-boarding myself, I can tell you it is NOT torture!
I don’t understand how anyone can find Amanpour appealing. Every word out of her mouth drips with arrogance and condescension. She was so flabbergasted to be called out in HER interview. It really is priceless!

CNN International is based out of London, it’s full of ex BBC staff. It’s broadcast to Europe and especially the Middle East, most of its advertising targets Middle Eastern consumers and its editorial line is really biased towards Middle Eastern perceptions and coddles to their grievances.
Europe tolerates it because their own medias do the same things, look at France 2. Amanpour can get away it in Europe, but not in the States. Thank Goodness! Bravo FOX!
Wow! I’ve never actually talked to anybody who experienced water-boarding before. You know I believe it’s not torture, but why do you believe it’s NOT torture ..??
She is one ugly person on the inside.
Surf's up!
Isn’t Sky News affiliated with Fox News? Maybe they can play it in Europe.
Amanpour is extremely biased and it has showed thru over the decades. glad to see that Thiessen “bitch-slapped” her for if there ever was a bitch that needed a slapping, it is her.

And yes, re wter boarding vs water torture; while 'words mean things'; we know they do not and never will, to any Leftist worth his salt; and hence, always the soft lies embedded in all they say. . .and the 'hard lies' used to justify all they do. . .
Great exchange! Marc was great, as he didn’t look emotional, while Christiane did.
Thank you for the link to the full exchange.
Thiessen did an excellent job of hanging in there and getting out the important information despite the attempts to prevent him.
After listing thwarted attacks among which could have been an attack in London near where Mr. Sands’ office is located, Thiessen says,
“My question to Philippe is, which of the attacks would you prefer we hadn’t stopped”?
Priceless!
...and, more importantly, the lives of the people on the aircraft.
rude bitch in heat alert
Important point from the video:
He thanked his interrogators for water-boarding him. He said "You must do this for all the brothers". Why did he do that? The reason he said he did that was because the jihadi philosophy is that Allah will prevail no matter what they do. So their moral responsibility is to resist as much as they can, and then once they have resisted, they are free to say as much as they want to do, they can spill their guts. The main thing that waterboarding does is to give jihadis a face-saving way to surrender to the interrogators and cooperate.
“My question to Phillipe is, which of these attacks would you have preferred we hadn’t stopped?”
Touche!
Amanpour was the genius who informed the world that John Paul II was the “first Catholic Pope” in 200 years.
Of course, as the daughter of Mohammed Amanpour, an Iranian businessman, she may be a little shaky on Christian history.
Thiessen handled himself well. He had the English academic speechless after Thiessen listed some of the terror attacks that were avoided as a result of enhanced interrogation - including offices in London perhaps near the academic’s office - and then asked him something like “Which of those planned attacked would you prefer had not been stopped?”
Bravo Marc Thiessen!
I’m sure glad CNN and Christiane Amanpour are ‘moderates’, ‘centrists’ with no ideology. I’d hate to see what their network would be if they were left-wing ideologues. ;^(
awesome job debating the twit.
“...babbled like a brook...”
I love a great metaphor!
“What these leftists don’t get and don’t want to know about is that we do water boarding quick and clean to get information not to torture.”
and it seems the CIA has only done it three times - and valuable information was obtained.
I hope Theissen continues to fight the good fight, and sells tons of books.
This was not only most excellent, it is essential. We can no longer allow leftists intent on stripping liberal societies of all effective lawful defenses against mass-murdering, fascistic nihilists to "excuse" themselves.
And, btw, what ever happened to the liberals who one day, though now decades past, used to be among the first in line to denounce and expose anti-liberal leftists like Amanpour and Sands? Are there no liberal liberals left? It would appear they've all either become conservatives, or willingly joined the illiberal left, or devolved into feckless "useful idiots".
Folks here do know who the harridan is married (bearded) to?
The cap is not as high quality as the one you linked, and it’s in two peices, but linked below is an even more complete youtube of the debate. (Adds about 4m30s to the beginning and about 55s to the end.) It appears to be the full segment:

I hope Mr Phillipe gets more time. Another weak sister decrying imaginary torture. The biggest inciters of the Muslim world are our liberals
It was priceless wasn’t it? And he was even respectful about it; SHE was the one who had the attitude.
Yet she can’t help it as she was born with a lemon up her butt.
(sorry-I really cannot take her elitist, scarf-wearing, phony-accented, anti-American “reporting”-wow-I feel better)
I caught that, too. Odd thing is, I had never heard that before.
No...who? Bin Laden?
No enhanced interrogation.
Miranda rights.
Civil trials with US rights.
Weak Rules of engagement.
What are these.
Part of a winning Mid Term election campaign for the GOP.

That was an awesome job by Marc Thiessen. Thanks very much for the link.
Thank you for your service (and the wife and kids too).
No one even knew who she was until she took up advocating the Bosnian Muslims in the Bosnian war 20 years ago.
Big "coincidence" -- Christiane Amanpour was born in Iran, the Bosnian Muslims had the support of Iran and was being supplied illegal arms by Iran, but no one mentioned that. And anyone who tried to get that connection information out, was labeled "a Serb apologist for genocide".
August 13, 1992. "The [sniper] killing of US broadcaster ABC's producer David Kaplan and the shooting down of an Italian Air Force G.222 transport aircraft on approach to Sarajevo. In both these cases Serbian forces were out of range, and the weapons actually used against the victims were not those claimed by the Bosnian Muslim authorities and the parroting Western media." (Offensive in the Balkans, by Yossef Bodansky). In the case of David Kaplan, who was inside a vehicle in Bosnian Muslim territory, the shot had to have come from ground level. However, CNN's Christiane Amanpour, in interviews such as the Charlie Rose Show, blamed the Serbs for the death of David Kaplan. Christiane Amanpour is CNN's female version of Peter Arnett.
Having directly influenced US foreign policy in the Balkans, Amanpour was made "a hero" to her fellow journailsts -- even if it required lying. So what do you think you can expect from her? Except more lies!
