It’s been a year since Barack Obama was inaugurated as the 44th president of the United States, the first African-American to hold the nation’s highest office. It’s been a year of highs and lows, from winning the Nobel Peace Prize to adding trillions of dollars to the national debt by enacting massive government spending programs – while continuing to battle for a nearly $1 trillion overhaul of the nation’s health care system.
His job approval rating also have gone from high to low, down nearly 20 points since taking office. How would you grade President Obama’s first year in office?

The joke’s on the DUmmies. 0bama has maintained Bush’s foreign policies in Iraq, expanded wars in Afghanistan and Yemen, broken his promise to close Gitmo within a year, defunded the science of space exploration, signed the Patriot Act 2, voted for Bush’s Telecom Immunity after promising the gullible DUmmies that he would instead filibuster it, blown Copehagen’s climate deal, blown Chicago’s shot at getting the Olympics, and wasted an entire year tilting at a mythical Healthcare windmill.
They want to give 0bama an “A” in order to deny that their own Agenda has been failed.
Let them.
0bama lost the governorship of NJ and bootlegger-boy’s Massachussett’s senate seat. He’s lost the Dem’s senate super-majority and he doesn’t know how to spin the ClimateGate emails.
The more that they give 0bama an “A”, the longer they put off their own chances of improving their situation.

Hmmmmm, out of curiosity, I hit “refresh” and voted again to see if I could. I could. I also noticed that even though the number of votes increased, the percentages aren’t changing. >:-/
He has done more to promote a Muslim agenda at a cost to the US worth by several orders of magnitude greater than the Islamic total benefit. Even if Islam were to win the power of the US, he’s degrading the value of US diplomacy and eroded our ability in statesmanship.
He’s incompetent as a Democrat, unfaithful as a socialist, foolish as a progressive, and a glutton for attention.
The Greek word KAKOS comes to mind as in good for nothingness, worthless, evil.
How about skipping the grades and just expelling him for cheating?

Expanding support for families balancing work with caring for elderly relatives with a $102.5 million Caregiver Initiative adding $52.5 million in funding to Department of Health and Human Services caregiver support programs that provide temporary respite care, counseling, training, and referrals to critical services. The administration says the extra funding will allow nearly 200,000 additional caregivers to be served and 3 million more hours of respite care to be provided. It also adds $50 million to programs that provide transportation help, adult day care, and in-home services, such as aides to help seniors bathe and cook, help which eases the burden for family members and helps seniors stay in their homes.

To rack up entries, I hang out in the lounge with is essentially nonpolitical. It is easy to post 100/day by just ack everyone elses posts.
Refining my characters was the challenge along with keeping them consistent. I have two in the GLBT forum that are very popular and influential.
My role is not to troll but to use these characters to draw out conversations. Not easy task.
I have actually had to make some donations to DU to be allowed certain privileges. That feels bad.
BTW - they made a call to flood the poll. After that call, I watched “A” go up 12 points in 10 minutes. That is why I came here.
While I admire you for having the fortitude to spend so much time and effort in close association with hardened liberals, I have to wonder why you’d go to the trouble of becoming a part of their community, when you could easily just lurk there.
Surely, you’d learn just as much by simply observing them.

Once of the things that fascinate me at DU is their obsession with conservative media. They never miss Rush and are always posting links to FR.
To be honest, I have never seen a full hour of Oberman, Mathews or the like. I now understand why Air America failed and Fox soars. All the liberals are watching conservative media!
