On Friday, January 29th, 2010, Lech Walesa, former President of Poland, traveled to Chicago to endorse Illinois Republican gubernatorial candidate, Adam Andrzejewski.
We were fortunate enough to have an opportunity to sit down with the President and Mr. Andrzejewski. Our video from that visit is below.
Items that stand out: 1) Lech Walesa tells his American Audience that the United States no longer leads the world politically or morally 2) At least one of your Founding Bloggers asks President Walesa if he thinks America is slipping toward Socialism. His Answer? Yes! 3) Andrzejewski is running on a platform of forensically auditing Illinois’ books and exposing corruption by making the details of the audit available to the public.

I probably will although I have serious reservations about Andrzejewski.

This republic is being driven to socialism by a group of people who have romantic ideals of a economic/political system that promises fairness yet will kill them the first chance it can.
The free market (Capitalism) did not cause this crisis, the government (Socialism) did.
The free market did not take us off the gold standard, the government did.
The free market did not dump trillions of dollars of cheap money into the system, the government did.
The free market did not create multiple trillion-dollar entitlement programs, the government did.
The free market did not create Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Sallie Mae and Ginnie Mae, the government did.
The free market did not write a tax code that favors one product (real estate) over others, the government did.
The free market did not destroy our public school system and graduate (or fail to graduate) generations of civically and financially illiterate citizens, the government did.
The free market did not pass laws that force banks to lend to those who do not qualify for a loan, the government did.
This crisis is the result of a giant social engineering experiment and vote-buying scheme gone tragically wrong.
The free market does not try to engineer society or buy votes, the government does.
The government caused this crisis, the free market did not.
The government cannot fix the crisis, the free market can.

It wouldn’t be...IF the citizens knew that this is SUPPOSED to be a Republic or even what a Republic is, or if they knew that the Constitution guarantees a Republican form of government or had an inkling of what the Constitution is or what is in the Constitution but the vast majority don’t have the foggiest notion of any of this and most of those who should know better are not helping. Even Charles Krauthammer has been heard to refer to the country as a “Representative Democracy” rather than the Republic it is supposed to be.
People cannot be expected to rally to save something they don’t even realize they ever had in the first place. Most of those under fifty and a lot of those who are older just don’t have a clue what WWII was about, let alone how the country came into existence and the awesome sacrifices that were made to give us this wonderful country that we have so callously thrown away as if it were yesterday’s newspaper.
It is no longer a question of getting our Republic back, the Republic has been lost! The question is whether we can salvage something out of the wreckage so that we can avoid becoming a slave state under Sharia law or worse...if there is anything worse.
One thing you can be absolutely certain of, things are going to get a lot worse before there is any chance of things getting better.

Why does it take a foreigner to convince many seemingly intelligent Americans that the hard-left is finally finding success on our shores?
Americans truly do not understand just how deeply entrenched is the hard-left in this country. We are in some serious trouble.
We have allowed them access to the control system of our way of life, and our freedom. We had better get active, very active, in fighting these people or they will take us down.
Their subversion is working. Americans can’t even utter the word communism without getting weak in the knees. Why? Why is it ‘wrong’ to use such a word when just twenty or thirty years ago it was commonly used?
Was the Soviet Union the beginning and end of communism? I think not.
They are here, folks, and they will wreck this country.
I’m still waiting for people to wake up and fight back, but Americans are dazed and distracted by technology, entertainment, mood-altering, or something. They certainly are not close to nature right now. They certainly are not in touch with what’s happening to them. It’s frickin’ weird, on one level, but perfectly understandable when you add-in decades of conditioning.
And the addiction to these ‘pragmatic’ talking heads who poo-poo everything but their own myopic view of the natural world are the very definition of out-of-touch. It is sickening to watch!
Everyone, from the blue-collar union man to the Wall Street executive is going to get a major shock shortly.
Americans seem to think this is not serious, not real. Their record is skipping on “It can’t happen here.” while it is indeed falling down all around them.

You know, I'd be inclined to agree, but in this case, it's like getting a second opinion. It's one thing if we freepers commiserate over America going socialist, but it's something else when somebody from Eastern Europe comes over and confirms it.

Andy is very open about circumventing the State assembly by the use of multiple executive orders.
Only a basket of rocks, or a Dem voter, could fail to recognize the Obama Regime’s race to create a Socialist Fascist America.

Last year when Barack got tired of trying to claim that his plan ISN’T Socialist, started making statements like “They tell me that my proposal is socialist and then say ‘but don’t touch my medicaid or social security’”.

There are elected Democrats who compared Republicans to Nazis (using the word NAZI) and fascists. No evidence to support those claims.

Republic lost? Not so much. Not as long as the ideal lives on in the minds and hearts of so many Americans. Do you realize the original American revolution was conducted by a relative minority of concerned, informed citizens? They paid dearly for their courage, but ultimately their vision overtook the status quo and became the benchmark of a free society. No, until that vision dies out entirely from the people, there will be a Republic, and one well worth fighting for. The love of freedom, once born, is very hard to kill.
I always call him Andy too. But technically, he’s Adam.
As for executive orders, well and good, considering the emergency he will face on taking office. But I think he should reconsider. One major problem we now have is an almost complete breakdown of constitutional roles, and overuse or misuse of the executive order does not draw us back to a more constitutionally constrained government.
