So Bobbi, you've told us over and over what you are against. Have you ever said what one thing you are for this entire time?

In this article they tab THAT project at 41 billion but I've seen numerous articles that peg it up to 50 billion.

The article says that TransCanada is considering two options, one costing $41 billion, the other costing $26 billion.

The rival team, BP PLC and ConocoPhillips says the pipeline would cost $30 billion.

If you have other sources that say it would cost $50 billion, you should cite them.

Past that, the lower 48 needs all the domestic supply it can get. The pipeline whether it costs 26, 20 or 41 billion is needed.

If the Alaska natural gas pipeline is uneconomical due to new discoveries in the lower 48..... Then so be it. Means we will have a good reserve of Alaska natgas to be tapped later on when prices rise

An over abundance of natural gas.

How terrible.

The article makes no mention of the amount of gas we produce and how much gas we use every year.

The article makes no mention of the specific amount of gas that has been found in the past year from the new shale reserves.

From the article:

LOL. This is what passes for a good article.

Sorry. No sale.

An over abundance of natural gas. How terrible.

If there is, the article offers no such supporting proof.

Let's compare our natural gas proven reserves to Russia's as of 2008.

Right on! it is impossible to have too much Natural gas!

It is the very best power generation fuel by far.

"I guess nothing is ever a sure thing."

Certainly not another costly failure in shale venting.

I love Palin’s conservatism and patriotism! She may very well support McCain out of loyalty and I have no problem with that. And I have no problem with whom she supports with her PAC. There is nothing written that says she has to do everything (or anything at all) according to JIM.

Sarah is unabashedly pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-family, pro-America, pro-constitution, pro-gun, pro-limited government and so am I. And she’s wildly popular among the God-loving, Liberty-loving folks with whom I choose to associate. In short, she’s a refreshing breath of clean fresh air in an otherwise putrid failure of a RINO infested party.

She represents my interests better than any other viable wannabe at this point and if she decides to run, she will have my undivided support!! Romney, the draft-dodging, Big Government, lying statist political whore can KMA!! And your picture does say a 1,000 words, but Bob, unfortunately they’re all about YOU and political whores like you and the results and likely outcome of your slavish, cultish RINOism!!

So you can shove your picture and your RINOs where the sun don’t shine.

Sarah has more guts, talent, ability, patriotism, and sheer determination and love for America and our God-given Liberty than you and Romney and a thousand other RINOS will ever have!

It’s been more than obvious for several years that our pro-Life & Liberty Free Republic has become an embarrassment for you, so why the hell don’t you just take a fricken hike already!!

Shove it, pal.

GET THE HELL OFF FR if you don’t like it, but whatever you do quit your damn whining and pestering good conservative FReepers about your hatred for Sarah Palin!!

It’s beyond sickening.

Obama has already made appointments of radicals here in Texas dedicated to shutting down gas production here. Alaska is unique in its committment to energy. Even Texas is being overcome by enviro radicals.

"A 50 billion dollar pipeline nobody needs?"

Let's stop and work the equation. The pipeline that Palin was pushing was during a time that us conservatives were saying (IIRC) get off the ME teat and let's become energy self-sufficient. Since then, many new reserves have been found regarding oil and gas elsewhere which could make that pipeline defunct.

So, at that time it seemed like a good idea and she even fought the Pubbie Party (which I no longer support), it may prove not as beneficial as once believed because of the new resource findings.

However, as a number of people have pointed out, any new energy development takes time - lots. You're a business man and if you think through the business dynamics costs of oil/natural gas research, regulatory & greenie opposition, construction/development,transport, and ultimate profits takes years.

If you do the slightest research about energy, you will come to the same conclusion. I'm no expert, but I have made a lot of money off energy (CHK and BP) while looking closely at their balance sheets and their future.

However, where I do agree with you is about Palin's support of one of the biggest RINOs in Fedgov, Sen. McCain, plus girly-boy Lindsey. I just hope her rhetoric is more about "supporting from loyalty" Mac than actually "campaigning" for him. If she goes the extra mile to campaign for that old elitist RINO, I will say goodbye to Sarah Palin.

I've watched your articles and posting about Sarah Palin. I believe you to be correct on occassion.

You do know that your are going to be kicked off this board if you keep up your anti-Palin stance? Remember JR's anti-Bush position that he changed?

I have recently gotten major sh*t from JR for not giving the TEA Pary folks their due, even when I admitted they had some influence. JR is a patriot, but he can be very stubborn when you don't agree with his every word.

There is an answer: STATES'S RIGHTS!. We can campaign for our favorites; we can support the Repubican or TEA Parties (which are now fighting amongst themselves); we can file fed lawsuits (one of my long-time options). OR, we can work and encourage our State Governors/legislatures to nullify certain Fedgov mandates.

Do you have a better answer to stop the encroaching marxism? and re-install the Constitutional principles that made this Nation the envy of the World?

Bob, we are facing the biggest challenge we've ever known. You have the big picture. So many just want to follow the small FR picture. Go out, hold signs, have a bullhorn in hand, and protest. Good for them for joining, but they have NO clue on how to affect change.

Last time we talked, you indicated that you're done. You know what? I'm okay with that. So am I - I just want to secure B's and my financial future. However, after reading your posts about Palin, I don't believe you are ready to slip into obscurity. We really need to talk. And I don't mean new organization. Between you and me, we can join those who are making a difference and join those influential orgs. What say you?

Well, let’s see now. Way back in ‘82 I think it was, I worked on a natural gas pipeline up in the state of Washington. It was a 42 in. pipeline bringing natural gas from Canada to California, a Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) project. The scuttlebutt on the jobsite was that the pipeline was buried alongside an existing 36 inch pipeline and was supplying natural gas to California. One condition of the sale of that Canadian natural gas was that it could not be sold or provided to any business in California that would be considered in competition with any business in Canada.

California got the gas and Canada got the $$$ and we pipefitters earned a salary for the work we did.

That 36” and 42” line are still providing natural gas to California from Canada. Gotta wonder if gas from Alaska will be more economical than the gas from Canada?!?

Forget the politics - instead, consider the possible benefits of natural gas produce in the USA, transported to the lower 48 (including Southern California) via a pipeline to supply the growing needs of US citizens and businesses.

Seems a win/win situation for Alaska and the lower 48. And, if memory serves correctly, Sarah Palin is now the former Gov. of Alaska, but what the heck do I know, I’m just a dumb retired plumber/pipefitter.

I read your history every post for a whole page was nothing but knocking Palin. You called us names and accuse Palin supporters of not knowing who she is. I read your posts and at best you had some very weak points. Like her comment about the Tea party 'merging' with the GOP. It wasn't a very clear statement i give you that but it doesn't prove she knows nothing about the tea party.

I can go on and on with all the comments you made but really the best argument you have is weak at best.

I like what rae4palin said
Sarah is unabashedly pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-family, pro-America, pro-constitution, pro-gun and talks a good talk on limited government but the verdict is still out on that.

She is the best candidate we have period.
