Newsweek Reporter Urges Obama to 'Bully' Republicans
Newsbusters ^ | Feb. 1, 2010 | Geoffrey Dickens

Posted on 02/01/2010 1:14:08 PM PST by biggien

Newsweek's Katie Connolly, on the syndicated Chris Matthews Show over the weekend, determined that Barack Obama, even in the face of the stunning loss in Massachusetts, needs to become more entrenched in his liberal ways and not bother working with the GOP as she advised the President to “bully Republicans.”

Please more of the same, Mr. Øbama. In fact, kick it up a notch.

They wanted a Marxist bully and they have one. Strange that he’s not as authoritarian as they expected.

IMHO he is downright scary.

They are not afraid - I’m guessing they have secret membership passes in their cheerleader underwear.

Like he needs her advice.

Bullying is what he did when he met with the Republicans the other day.

He accused one congressman that his pointed question was only for the purpose of a sound bite.

Everything he accuses others of exposes exactly his own motivations and actions.

“Wow thanks for being politically neutral”

Actually, we should be thanking them for their advice. I have been reading it everywhere - the answer to voters rejecting this version of liberalism? Stronger, more progressive liberalism.

I think it is great advice, as it will lead to such a rejection of liberalism at the polls in November that progressives will be relegated to inisignificance for another generation.

I wasn't aware that he WAS working with the GOP.

True, and it was only because of Martha Coakley that she lost in Mass.

But "press bias" is only a myth among gullible right-wing crazies.

Outside of mau mau-ing what did Newsweak think bammy was qualified at doing? No surprise they want a cat fight, this is all they know how to report. I wonder how they will spin the Dems loosing the Congress in 2010? There is always the idea that newsweak will be bankrupt by then.

I also think he needs to keep the pressure on. I think the left need to own everything they push for. I don’t want bipartisanship on most of his agenda.

The only thing I want them to agree on is what they are eating for lunch.

Yes, please beat us every single day for the next nine months (and use a lot more sexual innuendos for the tea partiers). Then the response will be earth shattering on election day.

In my experience,
EVERY liberal considers himself to be part of “the elite”
who will be holding the whip instead of under its lash.

What exactly would she cll his underhanded tactics so far? If that isn’t already bullying then I wouldn’t know what to call it.
