Haiti's voodoo high priest has claimed believers have been discriminated against by evangelical Christians who are monopolising aid sent to the earthquake-stricken country....

Max Beauvoir, Haiti's "supreme master" of voodoo, alleged his faith's opponents had deliberately prevented much-needed help from reaching followers of the religion, which blends the traditional beliefs of West African slaves with Roman Catholicism.

"The evangelicals are in control and they take everything for themselves," he claimed. "They have the advantage that they control the airport where everything is stuck. They take everything they get to their own people and that's a shame

Christians have also been inundating radio stations asking anyone who has committed a crime to confess, thereby saving the nation from future disasters.

Inspiration, an evangelical station, said 11,000 people had rung up to pledge themselves to God since the earthquake.

Of course!

More reason for Obama & The Dems to push for eliminating the deduction for charitable contributions.

Those pesky Christians fail to acknowledge the supreme role of the all-powerful, all-knowing, all-benevolent Government to identify and meet the needs of the masses.

Help never comes with pressure to repent. However as Christians it would be hypocritical to meet a physical need and leave the spiritual need unaddressed.

True, I think that even bringing up the topic, though, makes unrepentant people very uncomfortable. Thus they go ballistic about being 'pressured.' But I suspect most of that pressure is coming from their own conscience, not anything external.

I have a pneumatic boot for my broken ankle that I plan to send to Haiti as soon as the doctors let me. I was going to slip a gospel tract into it. Does that count as 'pressure'? Some people just need to lighten up and value freedom of expression and association a bit more.

I am so sick of Haiti and the Haitians. And STOP BRINGING KIDS IN. America has 100,000 kids in foster homes awaiting adoption—most of them minorities. We don’t need Haitians coming in to increase those numbers. Let’s take care of our own first and find them homes, dammit!

The Christian based worldview is that leaders are to serve.

The worldly (all other) worldviews are that leaders are to be served.

Good idea about your boot. No that isn’t pressuring. Pressuring would be witholding supplies until they were converted. It isn’t however wrong to tell someone about the gospel and the reason for our charity. Our love for Him causes us to love others.

The Voodoo practicioners are choking chickens, spillng their blood and rattling their bones. In other words they are totally useless in helping the sick, injured and the needy.
