Beck Slaughters Huffington’s False Claim: Clearing up the Argument between Beck and Huffington
David Horowitz's NewsRealblog ^ | Jeff Hedgpeth

Posted on 02/03/2010 4:18:13 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

In a previous post I discussed the confrontation between Fox News President Roger Ailes and Huffington Post co-founder Arianna Huffington on last Sunday’s This Week on ABC. Let me repeat the relevant portion of the transcript from the video embedded in that post.

HUFFINGTON: Well, Roger, it’s not a question of picking a fight. And aren’t you concerned about the language that Glenn Beck is using, which is, after all, inciting the American people? There is a lot of suffering out there, as you know, and when he talks about people being slaughtered, about who is going to be the next in the killing spree…

AILES: Well, he was talking about Hitler and Stalin slaughtering people. So I think he was probably accurate. Also, I’m a little….

HUFFINGTON: No, no, he was talking about this administration [Emphasis added].

AILES: I don’t — I think he speaks English. I don’t know, but I mean, I don’t misinterpret any of his words.

When I wrote the last post it was unclear to what Ms. Huffington was referring. Since then, she has clarified what she was talking about when she said Beck was accusing the Obama administration of leading people to slaughter. Ms. Huffington offered this explanation on the Huffington Post, “Glenn Beck Goes After Me, But Forgets His Show Is on Video and Lies About Things He “Never, Never” Said”. Please note that the video to which she is referring is embedded in Ms. Huffington’s post.

Clearly, Glenn Beck was talking about the economy being slaughtered by the Obama Administration policies in the video Ms. Huffington cites, and she was trying to conflate a dated clip with Mr. Beck’s recent documentary about actual slaughter by ruthless socialist and communist dictators while it was still fresh in people’s minds.

Beck has been very effective in helping shine a light on what the administration is doing. Like they do with Rush, the left is doing everything they can to cripple and maim him. I worry sometimes that Beck doesn’t have the stamina as Rush does. I love Glenn, but I do worry. I hope he can face the storms that will keep coming his way.

What I find interesting about Beck is that the more the left tries to demonize him, the more we conservatives and libertarians are rallying behind him. He has shown us all what kind of people we’re dealing with, and they hate him for it. Well, guess what, he’s here to stay as are we.

Glenn’s segment on the show, last night, about the Huffington criticism was hysterical.

Glenn Beck is a light shining in the darkness, that the roaches would love to see extinguished.

This is where he should have pressured her to explain exactly what Beck is "inciting" us to do.

In my opinion Beck is inciting us to read, inciting us to learn, and most important, inciting us to resist.

I cannot see how Arrianna Huffington, a foreigner who married a queer and became rich because of it ,plays such a part in liberal politics.

What are her claims to fame about being an expert on anything besides being a gold digger?

Her brains are where her little money maker is, between her legs.

Why does anyone even dignify this woman with debate? She’s a spiteful, chronically-inaccurate, malcontent.

Just goes to show that those Right Wing Lunatics did not buy her crap when she was trying to be a pundit for the right. It even further indicts the Left Wing Lunatics for their willing acceptance of her bile she spews forth essentially lending further truth to the old P.T. Barnum rule for his success.

This was Beck at his best - just wish he would drop his “3rd party” nonsense and focus more on regaining control of the GOP as we appear to be doing. This is what Reagan espoused and remains the best option to save America.

I think that this should be pointed out time and again: Arianna first tried to become a pundit of the right. She only became ‘leftist’ when she realized that there was a big market for it and no one was covering it even a little.

Huff and Puff Huffington has an IQ below that of an oyster . I found Beck to be on his best game best yesterday and even Huff & Puff should now be able to figure out the point he was trying to get across . These @$$h0le$ always claim to be smarter than the average oyster but you still gotta go over and over the same details before they release their stupidity on the world .

Yeah, that’s it. So funny, we were cracking up. My husband says Glenn’s show is about the only one that you can watch and get good information, sometimes scary info, and then belly laugh in the next second.

Surely you must have some quotes, because I watch his show daily and I'm not hearing this "3rd party nonsense".

Oh, I'm sure they are worried that he is inciting people to think, to resist socialism, to resist the erosion of America and American values, to resist the taking of our liberties, etc.

In short, they are being good little socialists, and acting like typical so-called "liberals." That is, when they can't win an argument or debate on facts, they turn to personal attacks, innuendo, twisting words out of context, and outright lies.

Conservatives don't do these kinds of things because of the values we hold dear. Even if we were wont to distort the truth to make a point we don't have to. The current socialist power block in DC (Reid, Pelosi, and obama) give us all the ammunition we need to win any debate on the merits of limited government and capitalism.

Great piece. I loved it when Beck talked about his ratings slaughtering flat-lining MSNBC. “Can’t kill something that is already dead.”

LOLOL!
