Holder: It was my decision to charge crotch bomber as civilian

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday he made the decision to charge the Christmas Day terror suspect in the civilian system with no objection from all the other relevant departments of the government.

In a letter to Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, the attorney general wrote that the FBI told its partners in the intelligence community on Christmas Day and again the next day that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab would be charged criminally.

Then it was Holder’s decision to usurp the role of judge, and declare this cretin not-guilty and free as a bird, given the obvious dots that a civilian court will connect given lack of miranda, etc.

I am looking at the meeting they had in the White House....and the explanation ;;;;

***************************EXCERPT******************

Holder said that the possibility of detaining Abdulmutallab in the U.S. military system under the law of war was explicitly discussed in the days following the arrest, including at a Jan. 5 meeting that included President Barack Obama and senior members of the national security team.

“No agency supported the use of law of war detention for Abdulmutallab, and no agency has since advised the Department of Justice that an alternative course of action should have been, or should now be, pursued,” the attorney general wrote.

*************************************

Wouldn't an agency look to the President for guidance....??

I wonder if this the prelude to Holder’s resignation. I hope so.

Another idiot falls on the sword for Hussein.

I guess it is either fall on the sword or get thrown under the bus. Your choice.

He hasn’t officially “fallen on his sword” until he tenders his resignation. Otherwise, it’s just more of the same old BS.
::::
True, but he did take the blame for something which was high likely to have been an Obama directive. The gross incompetence and obvious radical leftist agenda of these fools is beyond comprehension.

These guys are flailing around blindly.

So according to Holder/Obama its OK to blow the suspected terrorists up from a mile in the sky with a predator drone, but when we catch one or have one in Gitmo, they are read their Miranda rights? Either they are at war with us and can be shot on sight or they are criminals.

AlQueda has good case to sue the U.S. for wrongful death for all of our successful predator success stories.

Holder will try to stay on like Janet Reno did after Waco.

Bull shit. Three of the intel agencies where specifically asked if they where consulted and all three said no during the Senate Intel hearing shown on CSPAN. Holder lies.

this just goes to show how UN-qualified the big BO is for the office of President of the US. He doesn’t have a clue and is making it up as he goes along.

Today he lipped off about extending an olive branch to the Republicans and got a fist in return - I would actually pay to see that performance.

What scares me most about the dems treating terrorists like criminals is the dems don’t treat the criminals like criminals

And I’ll bet he never even THOUGHT about checking with Hussein first. So the terrorist gets a free lawyer and the Black Panthers are free PERIOD! Great work, Holder.
