I agree with that. The best thing we can do with Iran is to leave them alone. In a couple of years, they’ll be another Turkey.

Agreed. And shortly after that Iran stops being problem.

I disagree with the general as long as the civilian casualties are minimal. And only military and governmental command and control targets are obliterated. Making sure to not only dispatch all combat aircrat ,but every helicopter that the IRGC can get up in the air, to make sure they can’t use their suppression forces for anything other than toasting marshmallows with.

I think that, by day, General Petraeus is a mild mannered US General in charge of central command but when the curtain of night falls he transforms himself into his secret alter-ego, Petraeus is none other than:

Captain Obvious

As they say on Caprica; is Petraeus a frack’n imbecile. The first thing that would really happen in Iran is, an over-throw of O’imvecile’s cousins and Akmakinejad’s regime in Terhan.

Also, our attacks on Germany during World War 2 only built up support for Hitler and the Nazis. What a mistake!

Leave them alone, sounds like Europe in the 1930s attitude with Nazi Germany.
We know how that worked out.

There are 70 million people in Iran. Do you think we could nuke them? The time to act against them was back in ‘03 but we went after Iraq instead.

Nukes arn’t the only option.
AS John Bolton has said, we should be doing covert
work with the students and others who have been in the streets.
To many who are fighting for some form of freedom are being hanged or tortured

You’re forgetting that in war, nothing goes accordingly to plan.

Then I support your plan. I don’t see the problem with that. Too bad that route is not a realistic option with the current adminstration.

Hello friend. Some idiots think we can attack a nation of 70 million people and a standing army of 375.000 by killing their little children. We have a bunch of women and homosexuals to go fight the rage that follows because we are feminized and weak as cat fecal. We are so weak we can’t even point to Major Hassan as an islamic terrorist from the wahhabi mosque in Virginia. You hang tough.

In my neighborhood here as a kid, I lived around large numbrs of people who were just a few years out of the Nazi concentration camps.

I saw Buchenwald in person where 56,000 Jews and others killed.

I spent time in East Germany in the early 1980s.
Oppressive dictators are not pleasant.

You want to go fight Israel’s war? You want your kids to die there? Why don’t you visualize your little 18 year old daughter with a bullet in her brain and then write me back and tell me Israel would be worth it. What a joke.

No, limited strikes there would be worse than no strikes at all.

If one is going to make war, then DO IT. No small-time, halfway stuff. That's worse than doing nothing.

Petraeus is correct. Nationalism would be stoked, even further, and more successfully than it is now in Iran.
