Syracuse, N.Y. -- Former Gov. Eliot Spitzer will speak at Syracuse University next week on the financial crisis.
Spitzer's talk, "From Libertarianism to Angry Populism: Have We Learned Anything From the Crisis of the Past Two Years?" will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Maxwell School auditorium.
Spitzer resigned in March 2008, after barely more than a year in office, amid accusations he patronized a prostitute.
The talk is free and open to the public.
This is the state of public education, the last bastion of forgiveness for the decietful and despicable progressive populists who never had a soul to begin with. Bet wall streets laughing

Amen. I am an SU Orangemen grad too. Whoops! I used the pre-PC term.
Sorry. ORANGE.
I had lunch with a retired SU professor over Christmas. He was a real professor - not "McStudies." He confirmed that the liberals are running Syracuse into the ground with their PC garbage. However, that makes them just like almost every other college or university out there.
I was an engineering major. My alumni magazine from the LC College of Engineering at Syracuse is now a joke. It is "green" this and "diversity" that.
Even engineering has been taken over by the liberals.
Another waste of money and time.
I holeheartedly endorse Eliot Spitzer in the Democratic Primary for Senate.
re: “amid accusations he patronized a prostitute”
ROFL. I think it went beyond mere “accusations” since the scumbag resigned and issued a tearful public apology
I realize that media have to use all their “allegedly” terms for legal reasons when someone has not been convicted of a certain crime, but in this case I think the perp publicly confessed (although maybe his exact words left some weasel room - I don’t feel like looking them up)
FOTFLOL!!!!
I've seen teenage girls swooning over the Jonas brothers. What a picture, and I think you have it right there.
Wanna bet it was written by a journalism major?
Good thing xsboy isn’t there yet! I do believe they will tick off some alumni with this guy.
oh this isn’t new. xshub will have a series of coronaries with this stuff over the next 4 years. even just dealing with the housing situation for xsboy next year he said he had the sinking feeling of remembering how the ONLY thing he liked about SU was the sports! ROR!
Other than his usual tax, spend, and "let's do it for the children" policies I can't imagine what it might be.
Don’t know if you saw this....
This article is just like the one about Pelosi speaking at Cornell. Very short and abrupt, like it was written because someone HAD to cover it because they had a job to do, but didn’t put in any more than was absolutely necessary.
The comments at the end of the article in the Post-Standard aren’t any better than the ones about Pelosi either.
While the leadership at SU may be liberal, it’s nice to know that the rest of CNY hasn’t really gone that way yet.
Sorry about Ithaca.....
Weird thing about Cornell is, I know a couple profs down there and they are anything BUT liberal.
Right now the weather is better than what most of the east coast is seeing.....
thanks, bfl
How disgusting.... Here they are protecting and paying one of their own.
