I really like Glenn Beck, but if he thinks he has this kind of power that we will fall in lockstep with him on this, he needs a clue.

The birth issue cuts more than one way. Sure, it’s very hard to bring it to a legal solution when our courts and congress have been corrupted. But it does cast doubt on Obama’s legitimacy. It does weaken him. It does make people wonder about him.
No, we don’t KNOW that Obama is a corrupt criminal who made his way into the White House by lying about himself. But it certainly fits the way he conducts himself. It fits the way he got elected to his two earlier offices by using Chicago methods to destroy his opponents. And it fits the fact that he refuses to release ANY of his records. And it fits the curious fact that the DNC and the RNC and the rest of the powers that be—including Glenn Beck—don’t want us thinking about this.
Doesn’t the Constitution matter? Doesn’t basic honesty matter? We think it does.

At this point, the only group benefitting from the Birther movement are DEMOCRATS. Divide, Discourage, Deflect, Distract. That’s their plan and keeping the birth certificate issue alive satisfies all of these. I’m not falling for it.

They do not say OBAMA is NOT an American citizen. They just say “he is not a natural born citizen of the USA” whatever this difference may imply.

For the record - Barack Obama did not release his Birth Certificate! A birth certificate reveals the hospital a person was born in!

I think Obama is a disaster, a communist, and as phony as a three-dollar bill, but that doesn't mean I think this birth certificate stuff is doing our side any good.
If someone comes up with any proof, great. It'll be a bombshell. Constitutional crisis, bedlam. Fine. I still don't see how it does us any good in the long run. The Democrats will find some way to blame it on Obama, or some Republican, or thin air. The press will never question the left on it, and not one shred of guilt or shame will stick to the Democrat party.
We'll get Biden for President, which I'm thinking is not an obvious improvement in the situation.

One thing that your links don’t cover is the fact that Obama did not attend Columbia university, he attended Columbia college, a sort of alternative style school affiliated with Columbia. During his time at Columbia college, he left the country to go to Pakistan. No one knows when he returned, or how long he stayed in Pakistan. It is entirely possible that Obama received credit for his period in Pakistan that was applied to his graduation. The school is a pass/fail system, so graduating without honors is standard, you either graduate or you don’t.

The other group that benefits from it are the people that love the Constitutional Republic that we live in. Barack is telling Americans to go to hell. He doesn't have to release his birth record that shows what hospital he was born in and the citizenship of his parents. That is what is listed on his birth record that he refuses to release.
By your post it reads like Article II of the constitution is meaningless. So what other part of the constitution is worthless to you?

I stopped listening to Beck on TV a week ago. And I am sorry I recommended him to my family. I hope they have tuned him off too, but I can’t speak for them.
The Constitutional eligibility (ie birth-certificate) issue SHOULD be dealt with; and here’s why:
1 - The Constitution gives specific qualifiers on who is eligible to hold the office of President.
2 - The Constitution is the supreme law of the land.
3 - If the Constitution is _NOT_ ‘allowable’ for a citizen to cite in grievance/redress then we are not a Constitutional country: we are either an anarchy (no government), or a tyranny (government that can do anything ‘because it can’).
4 - Therefore, it is ESSENTIAL that the natural-born citizen issue be resolved, publicly, in an open and just [read: fair] court.
Beck is bending to mainstream Corporate pressure.
That’s the first sign of decline.
And what do you know, another noobtard worried about what Beck thinks of birthers.
