President Barack Obama has left Democrats as confused as ever over how the White House plans to deliver a health care reform bill this year, following two weeks of inconsistent statements, negligible hands-on involvement and a sudden shift to a jobs-first message.
Democrats on Capitol Hill and beyond say they have no clear understanding of the White House strategy or even whether there is one and are growing impatient with Obamas reluctance to guide them toward a legislative solution.

President Barack Obama told Democrat party officials Saturday that he is committed to pushing health insurance reform, even as congressional lawmakers struggle to find a way forward.
"The easiest thing to do would be to say this is too hard. Lets just regroup and lick our wounds -- try to hang on," Obama said at the winter meeting of the Democratic National Committee. "We have had a long and difficult debate on healthcare. And there are some, maybe even the majority in this town, who say to walk away.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen:
Most people who oppose socialized medicine do so on the grounds that it is moral and well-intentioned, but impractical; i.e., it is a noble ideawhich just somehow does not work. I do not agree that socialized medicine is moral and well-intentioned, but impractical. Of course, it is impracticalit does not workbut I hold that it is impractical because it is immoral. This is not a case of noble in theory but a failure in practice; it is a case of vicious in theory and therefore a disaster in practice. So I'm going to leave it to other speakers to concentrate on the practical flaws in the Clinton health plan. I want to focus on the moral issue at stake. So long as people believe that socialized medicine is a noble plan, there is no way to fight it. You cannot stop a noble plannot if it really is noble. The only way you can defeat it is to unmask itto show that it is the very opposite of noble. Then at least you have a fighting chance.
I heard on the radio this morning that Blue Cross in CA is raising its premiums by 39%, with high deductibles.
How is that sustainable? How can anyone afford to pay 39% extra and get absolutely nothing for it? All they would be doing is enriching the insurance company. I would imagine many people will make a “business decision” and decide it’s not worth holding a Blue Cross policy. What is our government doing to lower (greatly) insurance premiums? Absolutely Nothing!
Tennessee has joined several other states in trying to pass a Health Care Freedom Act. NO COLAs for granny, retired Military or retired fed employees. BIG NEW fees for Tricare for Life retired over 65 Military's secondary health ins. (DOD bill already passed, delayed but goes into effect 2011)
New Dem mantra: Woof, woof eat dog food granny....ala let them eat cake.
