McGlowan to enter north Miss. congressional race

Fox News analyst Angela McGlowan is expected to announce her candidacy for Congress when she makes five stops in north Mississippi's 1st District next week.
A flyer released by McGlowan says she will make appearances Monday in Oxford, Tuesday in Corinth, Wednesday in Tupelo, Thursday in Columbus and Friday in Hernando.

I think she has a good chance of winning. it has a good Republican tilt and sizable black population, who would be more open and proud to vote for such an articulate attractive black woman.

An intriguing entry, although the establishment support is behind Sen. Alan Nunnelee of Tupelo. We lost this seat because we nominated a suburban Memphis candidate over a Tupelo candidate and a rural Dem was able to win because of the backlash against the suburbs.

That is the Oxford/Ole Miss area, IIRC. It was very conservative deacdes ago when I called on Ole Miss campus profs. Then again, isn’t Shepard Smith an Ole Miss grad? Maybe it’s not as conservative as I’m imagining.

Angela used to work for John Ensign when he first become a Senator in 2000. The Dems will attempt to link Ensign’s personal problems to Angela.
