IMO...The saints will blitz somewhat less than they usually do.
That'd be my guess. The Jets showed what happens when you try to blitz Manning...it can work for a while but once he breaks down what the defense is doing then good night.
Not that I'd know. I've (ahem) heard rumors.
Well, you obviously know your stuff, which would have been extremely impressive if you were a chick, lol.
LOLOL! Red Green.
Speaking of drinking games, I think I'll do a shot of tequila each time the Colts score and a shot of tequila each time the Saints score. As I'm doing the shooters, I'll go ahead and try to post. Could be interesting.
Thanks - you’re probably right but the “Superbowl Today” coverage starts at 2pm ET so I wasn’t sure ... they deserve a little rest but there’s snacks to be prepped! (Ducking now!) ;-)
Where’s the cheapest beer and free snacks?
Colts by double digits.
It hurts, nonetheless!
My wife could’ve explained all that, but with a frown on her face, saying, “That’s all I heard around this house for 12 years!!!!” *LOL*
Which Super Bowl does everyone think was the most exciting one ever from kickoff to finish? I make that stipulation because some Super Bowls have had some great endings but weren’t necessarily all that fun too watch say in the first half (the Rams-Titans as a classic example I think).
Out on a limb...
The team with the most points will win.
I don't think the folks in Detroit feel your pain.
Thanks - I’ll still be FReeping but keeping an eye on the pregame stuff starting at 2pm - prolly should DVR the thing anyway ... ;-)
here. all ya gotta do is bring beer and snacks. I’ll serve ‘em and they’re free to you..:)
Your photos look like a real car out on the road somewhere.
Fooled me. Fun stuff.
It’s remarkable that a city that has hosted so many Super Bowls finally gets to really enjoy one.
Well, at least until the game actually starts.
I have pics of other cars I’ve done if you wanna see ‘em, including a 58 Impala, 50 Pickup, 53 Corvette and 55 Chevy..
This method of picking the winner ... works for me.
there is NO WAY the Colts hold the Saints to 10 points, but a defensive TD will happen.
Do still playing players get inducted? ... just sayin’
Didja read the article in the WSJ a couple of weeks ago reporting a scientific study which calculated with a stopwatch that there is under 11 minutes of action in an American football's game?
Well that goes against the grain.
I perdict the Who will score!
The men are either eating, drinking, cursing or cheering.
The women carry on the background conversation.
And what are you picking on me for? I’m just sitting here, stirring the pot!
I predict Daltrey and Townshend will be half-to-fully toasted when they take the stage at halftime.
Sunday NFL Countdown will have to spend its remaining hour and forty five minutes on the Colts to even out the presentation. C’mon man!
The Who! That’s who! Sans Keith Moon and John Entwistle, the absolute best bass player ever, but still! They are one of the best live bands ever. Crank up your system when Eminence Front comes on.
Signing onto thread so I’ll have a live source in the likely event that my sat dish goes down from the snow.
I'm in the process of getting a new cable provider. Fortunately I have the option of getting a dish just to haggle prices over with.
If the Vikings could pile up nearly 500 yards against that blitzing defense, on the Saints home field, I have complete confidence Peyton Manning will have little problem moving the ball up and down the field today.
That being said, here is my final analysis on today’s event, then again with my sterling 2-8 record against the spread in this year’s playoffs who would wanna listen? First and foremost, the officiating in this years playoffs have been absolutely brutal, especially in terms of the QB’s. What you will see today is a concerted effort to protect the QB’s on both sides.....
The Dwight Freeney injury is a concern, but was so 2 weeks ago when the Jets put up 17 points in the first half and then got shut down in the 2nd half. Obviously the Saints offense is miles ahead of the Jets and will have mulitple opportunities to score....
If the Saints d wants to try to beat Peyton up like they did Farve, good luck. After the first 3 penalties for RTP, that stops then and there. If they want to blitz, they’re being set up for the expected aerial show cause everyone knows PM will not get sacked or hurried regularily. One other thing you won’t see, the Saints getting extra possessions from turnovers like the Vikings gave them 2 weeks ago. The Colts just don’t turn the ball over, PERIOD!!!
Like I said 2 weeks ago, I was never convinced that Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon were that DAMN good, but guess what? They are that DAMN GOOD!!! If that’s because of Peyton, so what? They’ve shown up bigtime in the spotlight in the playoffs and will again today.
I’m sticking to 34-27 as this will be a very entertaining game. I don’t see many turnovers in the game, maybe 3 between the 2 teams. I see the Colts being up 2 TD’s with the Saints scoring late in the game to make the final spread...
And in the end isn't that what really matters? /s
Well, did get about 4-5 minutes on the Colts. Took an earthquake to make it happen, however.
I’m a rookie to this, being from New Orleans, and my hands have been shaking all day and my stomach is in knots. I can’t stand the tension of waiting. I thought I’d be ecstatic if my team ever made the Super Bowl, but instead I can’t wait for this thing to be over.
Alas, no Eminence Front today...
The Who’s 12-minute performance will consist of a “compact medley” of five songs — Baba O’Riley, Pinball Wizard, Tommy, Who Are You, and Won’t Get Fooled Again.
And for today only, the band is know as The Who Dat
Your reaction is perfectly normal. At 10:30 tonight you'll either be in absolute ecstasy or misery. Hope that helps. :)
